Took my son to go see The Force Awakens at Century City Mall and stopped by their food court to find something to eat. Came upon Take a Bao and saw that they had many vegan options denoted on the menu.
Bao traditionally is a large filled ball of dough but the restaurant (like a few others) have begun to change it up a bit by rolling the dough out and serving them like tacos. The filling to dough ratio is much better like this.
My son and I ordered the tofu bao, mine with whole wheat and his white. They were filled with a sweet soy marinated slice of tofu, marinated cucumber slices and sprouts. Good flavor combinations and pretty filling for the size. I posted pics of other vegan options on the menu. Not a bad option for veg friendly. One other location located in Studio City.
Pros: Vegan variations of most of their menu, Good prices, Vegan options noted on their menu
Cons: Additional protein options besides tofu would be n
