Read moreChaves is a wonderful city, but unfortunately devoid of vegan restaurants and even decent vegan options on the menu of non-vegan restaurants. It was fantastic to find this exception - a restaurant with literally dozens of vegan options to choose from. It has a vegan section on the menu with 18 dishes, most of the entrées and sides are vegan, and then there are soups and a couple of other vegan options as well, all clearly marked.
I had the papad as an entrée, the tarka dal, basmati rice, and naan bread, and it was all really good. My husband had the kathal curry and he loved it too. The staff was lovely, and the place has a nice atmosphere, with Indian-themed decor. The only thing missing was a vegan dessert.

Read moreThe front of the building does not look promising but the main dining room at the back has big windows overlooking trees to the mountains beyond.
The menu has several pages of vegan and vegetarian main courses in identified sections. There are also vegan starters (though not desserts).
Attentive and efficient service. Good English spoken.
Decent food.

Very friendly and attentive staff. They have a lot of vegetarian dishes and a few vegan, but they can also veganize some dishes upon request.
