The second vegan canteen under the name of Taiwan Brother 7, opened in November 2012. It's upstairs in the Taiwanese food court. Short walk from exit 4 of Xu Jia Hui Subway station, opposite a church. REPORTED CLOSED, JUNE 2016. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-9:00pm.

Tried to find this place today and it looks like they have closed the whole complex where it's supposed to be sadly - June 2016

Good Taiwanese style food - Edit
I have been to this place once. Very easy to locate like the others pointed out. I do have to repeat that the serving helpers and the cashier are extremely cordial and friendly - Maybe a Taiwanese thing :). I speak very very basic Mandarin and we had quite a conversation. It was a lot of fun. The food was a but oily albeit yummy, still better than food in Shanghai in general where there is layer of oil afloat.
I will definitely keep going back there whenever I get a chance.

Excellent Just Like Its Other Shanghai Counterpart - Edit
I frequent the Taiwan Brother 7 Vegan Hut - Luwan/Dapuqiao branch, and this Xu Hui branch is equal in quality in terms of variety, delivery speed, friendliness, and deliciousness.

The owner and staff are very friendly and the food is tasty, however it is the traditional tofu mok meat that you see on the other vegan restaurants with a Taiwan touch.
I enjoyed very much, but it is not a fancy restaurant, it is normal but nice!

Taiwan vegetarian - Edit
Easy to find, take "light train" to "Xujiahui" at exit 4. Then directly go to level 5 of the I.T mall food court. Operate by Taiwanese, food is delicious, inexpensive and friendly service.

Inexpensive set menu - Edit
Located in a food court of an IT mall in Xujiahui, this simple food court restaurant offers plenty of fake meat dishes and very inexpensive menu sets (I remember them being around 30RMB).
The ingredients are laid out for everyone to see (non gmo-sunflower oil) etc. and an english menu is available.
If you aren't into oily food or fake meat this restaurant won't be the right thing for you though, which is reflected in my rating, as well as the food court ambiance.

Been here twice now and both times staff were very helpful. Menus in English with lots of choice and good quality food.
