Bubble tea chain from Taichung offering beverage options that are accidentally vegan, such as teas from the top three sections of the menu, or can be veganized with oat milk at no extra charge. Staff can substitute oat milk in the fresh milk tea section. All toppings are vegan except for grass jelly, which contains honey. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-8:00am.

Rare vegan bubble milk tea

It took me a while to discover this bubble tea chain, but I'm so glad I finally did. They can swap about the dairy milk with oat milk for drinks in the fresh milk tea (鮮奶茶) section. I have tried both the black sesame milk tea (極黑芝麻鮮奶茶) with rice noodle cake (招牌粉粿) and golden pearls (琥珀粉圓), and island flavor milk tea (島韻鮮奶茶, i.e., their signature tea) with grass cake (草仔粿), and both were a delight.

Other sections that list accidentally vegan options are original tea (原味茶), local flavor teas (風味茶) except for the Yakult green tea (養樂多青茶), and flavored teas (滋味茶).

Toppings: If you have never had rice noodle cake in your shaved ice or tofu pudding, give it a try: you might like it! The grass cake pearls were a bit denser than your run-of-the-mill tapioca pearls, but I enjoyed them nonetheless. Or you can just go with golden pearls for a solid, standard topping. Avoid the grass jelly (嫩仙草) if you abstain from honey.
