We had tortilla soup, veggie taco, fried avocado taco (might be called fish taco). Everything was good and I ordered another round of the avo tacos which were delicious!! Friendly and cool server.

Everything we got was super delicious. We got the birria tacos, asada fries, fish taco, and tortilla soup. Everything was super flavorful and the portions were quite large. I can't wait to try everything on the menu!

Read moreI was so excited to find this place and wanted so much to love it. A big vibe killer was that after receiving our food, one of our items had peanuts. While I really should have mentioned it earlier, I also felt there were no apologises for the situation or accountability on their part, however small; nor were there any offers to help us solve the problem.
I later suggested to them that maybe they can label the items with allergens. The two women at the counter responded with “well most people tell us their allergens” and other remarks while laughing. They could have just said they’ll consider or thanks for the suggestion. That lacked so much kindness and compassion. Plant based, sure. But definitely not vegan because we’re all about kindness. It killed my entire mood.
Food was okay in general.
Carne asada fries: 3/10 ; we left over half of it
Mole and fish tacos: 5/10- just lacked seasoning and didn’t really come together
Flautas: 4/10.
We didn’t finish anything really. I felt bad to take my non vegan family members here to be honest. Quite embarrassing.
Cons: Service , Allergen issues, Lacks accountability and doesn’t take suggestions

The staff was very nice and helpful. Out of the many options my husband and I chose the Cali Burrito. Even if it was Taco Tuesday. 😉 Bring an appetite with you, the portions are big.

Really tasty Mexican food - Edit
This was my first visit to a Tacotarian. Staff were so friendly and enthusiastic. So many options on the menu it was hard to decide. I tried one taco and their nacho soup and tried everyone else's too of course. Lots of options, the food is filling but not heavy on your stomach. I'll definitely be visiting again.

If we lived even a little close to this place, they would definitely know us by name. My husband said he thought this was the best Mexican food he had ever had in his life! I’m not a huge Mexican food person but loved this place! Appetizers, entrees AND desserts…oh my! Highly recommend.

Tacos are on sale on Tuesdays. Range from 2-4 per taco. My friend got a few tacos and said they were all really good. I ordered the torta and it was amazing. My mom ordered a taco (the one with beyond meat I don’t recall the name) and nachos. She was very disappointed because both of them contained onions (in the beyond meat mix). It would be nice if the menu said what was in the beyond meat. But she did like the churros. I would return.

I liked the three dollar vegan tacos with many gf options - I had the jackfruit, potato, and chorizo, each one different with double soft tortillas except potato which was a single fried tortilla.

Since I signed up for points on my one other visit to the location in San Diego it was five dollars off! Definitely worth checking out!

Delicious First Time Visit Lunch - Edit
Staff were friendly and helpful. We wanted a quick vegan stop with easy parking and this was it. Large order at the counter cafe with delivery to table. We had the chili jackfruit, mushroom asada and mole plantain tacos a la carte. Just delicious! Great flavors, colors and textures. We will definitely be back and try other locations. Ice cold infused water available. Super clean and well stocked restroom. Tables and cleared and sanitized in a timely manner. And music volume was just right so you could still enjoy music but hold a conversation.
