All the vegan options were just.. not it. The hibiscus was so tart and bitter, the chorizo.. I can’t even describe the flavor it was so bad. My partner had the mushroom and said they weren’t anything special. The bean was the only tolerable option. They serve you salsa but you can only eat the red one because the green & yellow ones have a milk base! Just save your time and money and go to 100% vegan taqueria

Very delicious salsas they make in restaurant. We also loved the guacamole. I was able to eat the soy chorizo taco and I ordered the panela cheese and beans taco WITHOUT the cheese. I was very satisfied! Simple, flavorful and fresh tacos, which you add your own toppings to (lime, cilantro, onions, etc). Also great margaritas 😁
Read more3 star rating based on the lack of options. While there isn’t a lot of vegan options, what they do have is great and the service was also good. This spot is a good option if dining with friends that want a non-vegan meal and you can still have a tasty meal too.

We narrowed it down to the mushroom tacos that made us very sick. Everyone who had that taco began vomiting around the same time after we went here. I still can’t hold down any water.

They give you free chips and 3 kind of salsa but only one is vegan. You can pay for guacamole which is really good and worth it. The rest is kinda weak. Choose between vegan chorizo, or mushroom or hibiscus flower, and that’s all that comes in the tortilla. Then you add your own parsley, limes, cucumber, white cabbage. We went for lunch, we were disappointed, but went back for dinner because of the lack of option, and the tortillas were way smaller than for lunch.

Only a couple of vegan tacos, but they are great. Traditional corn or wheat tacos available. Good selection of salsas.

Best vegan tacos in town - Edit
After specifying that we would like vegan tacos, they made us three different kinds. Beans, soy meat and hibiscus flower. While the first two were a bit disappointing, the hibiscus one blew us away! Amazing taste, consistency reminding us of jerky, definitely worth going here! By far the best and most unique taco we had in our 6 months while staying here. You can add veggies from a little buffet to your tacos and it will also come with chips and sauces, 2 of which contained milk.

Build Tacos Not Walls - Edit
This is my 3rd trip to PVR, first as a vegetarian. Was pleasantly surprised that my fave local taco place had veggie/vegan options. Knowing that these are street taco type, ordered the hibiscus, bean/cheese, soy chorizo and they were all tasty. Was especially surprised with the hibiscus, which to me had the texture of jerk meat. Along with the chips and salsa made a complete meal. Very reasonably priced meal.

Yup, they have them as a main option to top those little tortillas. Very interesting texture and flavor, we were ready for the gritty seeds since the server gave us a heads up. Yes, order 3-5 tacos and get them with a combination of fillings and/ or a variety of them. Pile on those fixings!

Things I wish we knew when we first ate there: Order at least three tacos if you want a full meal (tacos are small); there is a condiments bar for you to build your own (pretty bland and boring to eat without the fixings!!); order tacos with more than just one filling (again pretty boring with JUST nopales, or JUST hibiscus...); two of the three salsas they bring to your table have dairy in them; order the guacamole, you'll get a guac mountain!!

My husband just asked them to make a bunch of varied vegan tacos. They made us two tacos each of: hibiscus and beets, mushroom and bean, soy/tofu chorizo, and fajita veggies. W delicious salsa and cucumber toppings !
