We've been meaning to come here for ages, and it was totally worth the wait. Delicious food in a relaxed, cosy setting. We had the nachos (best I've ever had), philly burrito and chimichanga. All so full of flavour!

Unusual location, but a bonus for the easy access and plenty of parking. The space is vibrant and colourful, with a really welcoming community vibe. The staff were lovely and I enjoyed reading about their travels. I had a chimichanga which was delicious. I’m looking forward to coming back someday.

Every dish has fantastic flavour and is a decent portion of food (trust me, I've tried them all). No matter who we take with us, vegans or meat eaters, everyone loves it! Run by a really lovely couple who, along with their staff, always makes you feel welcome.

We’ve devoured the entire menu—at least five times over! 🌮 Tacos and Flipflops is our ultimate go-to, and if mortgage weren’t a thing, we’d eat here daily. and very comforting. It felt like we were in Mexico 🇲🇽 and the owners, Pete and Lynn, were very friendly and nice. The food was delicious and had such cultural and flavoursome tastes. The Nachos were very nice and the Philly me burrito was exceptional ⭐️! We had an amazing time and will definitely come back again soon!😄💖

My partner and I came here one day on our bikes 🏍, not sure what to expect. The owners were really friendly and super accommodating as there are a few things that I can't eat. They mixed things up and made me the most amazing burrito and even came up with some sides 😋 everything was delicious and super filling. We'll definitely come back and bring some other UK Vegan Bikers 😁

A taste of the taco - Edit
We packed our flip flops and came here for a nice meal. We certainly got it. Initially it’s tricky to find as it has a fireplace sign above the building. But we switched on our senses and sniffed out the taco’s and made into the building. It feels like a bit of Mexico inside Peterborough. The burrito wraps are delicious and unique. Many different fillings to choose from. The loaded taco’s were truly a taste of taco heaven. The taco’s here are what taco’s should be. You won’t want to go back to the normal malnourished taco’s from your local Aldi. So please get your tastebuds ready as you’ll be taken from the grim streets of Peterborough to the sunny streets of Mexico for a culinary ride of your taco life.

The food was very fresh and very tasty. I have a reaction to citrus, such as lemon and lime, which they use in a lot of their food. But, because they prepare all the ingredients there, they were able to custom-make my burrito.

Flavoursome hot sauce!! - Edit
Tucked away in an industrial estate this hidden gem didn’t disappoint. We had 2 burritos with hot sauce on the side. The food was lovely and the service was good. Just a fleeting visit as we passed through on the way home to Northampton. Would definitely recommend and will visit again when next in the area.

My partner and I were in the area and though we had a few places we wanted to try we settled on Tacos and Flipflops… I’m glad we did!
Read moreInitially I was a little wary of the menu as so many times you find places to be “Latin American” can be just not be the best but here you could taste every fresh ingredient and it was delicious. My partner is from Brazil and we commented they should make a vegan feijoada as I’m convinced these guys would make it so so so tasty and Brazilian food that’s not BBQ is so hard to get here.
As for the service we couldn’t have asked for more. We turned up just as they opened and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. I loved hearing about their stories of travelling and the baby 2-toed sloth.
We had a sharer, 2 mains, and 2 drinks and it came to about £25 - an absolute bargain as we’d been elsewhere the evening before and the same cost us £50
When I’m in the area again you can for sure see me back… plus I need to know how they make the Taco Mheat!! 🤤

From the first phone call to book from when left this place ticked the boxes for my wife's 50th. Granted its not the largest of eateries, but you'll struggle to find this quality in some that are! Myself and 2 other meat eaters in a party of 4 were all happy with the food and quantity too. We will be back.❤

Definitely recommend. You should most certainly give them a try! I can imagine having Tacos & Flip Flops catering at your event (which they do!) would go down a storm as well.
Yum. Just go order!

Cons: Bit of a squeeze to park but not insurmountable! , Eat in area but 'cosy' I think if busy time, Do NOT let above put you off this fab food!

Unfortunately I didn't get to sample any of the tacos (they were out of GF tacos/wraps) but my god the food smelt good!

We got to speak briefly to the owners and they were so lovely and welcoming. We are definitely going back to sample the tacos!
