Could become a go to spot - Edit
We just moved to the local area and found this place. True to other reviews it had good vegan options, with a section on the menu for tofu dishes and one for vegetable dishes. I had Tofu Kung Pao, next time I’ll try the Mongolian Tofu or one of the vegetable dishes. Friendly prompt service, nice casual atmosphere.

I love the garlic broccoli, the sautéed green beans, and I had a sizzling rice soup that was pretty good, too. They are happy to add fried tofu to any veggie dish, and they were clear about whether the soup was vegan or not, which I appreciate. Let's also be clear that this is last and only true Chinese restaurant in Pierce County, that I know of. Since Hunan Dynasty closed, and Tacoma Szechuan was always better anyway.

A Hidden Gem in Tacoma/Lakewood! - Edit
I’m surprised it took me so many years to stumble on this place. I’ve only had the Kung Pao tofu with added celery (it only comes with spring onion and dried chili peppers). The flavors were authentic including distinctive Szechuan pepper. It was delicious though a little on the sweet side for my preference. Though rice is an extra charge, the portion size was big enough for two people. I will bring half home next time. Very nice server. ***BTW my other favorite Chinese in the south sound is New Peking Wok in Federal Way.
