Sehr sehr leckere tacos - Edit
Die tacos waren super! Es werden zwei tacos mit einer Portion nachos und pico de gallo serviert. Mein Favorit waren die tempura avocado tacos. Die tacos mit Hibiskus und Mango sind eher etwas für jemanden, der salzig und sehr sehr süß kombiniert mag - waren aber auch richtig lecker.

Kleine Ergänzung: die Gerichte sind nicht explizit als vegan gekennzeichnet, jedoch kennt sich das kompetente Personal sehr gut aus und kann direkt die Gerichte mit Veganer Option aufzählen. Neben den von mir genannten Gerichten ist auf jeden Fall auch der Smash Burger vegan verfügbar.

Decent food, helpful staff - Edit
There isn’t anything labelled as vegan on the menu but the helpful staff managed to help make some items vegan. We had the avocado tacos (minus and cheese or cream) and the hibiscus burrito (again with no cream or cheese) both were really good and filling. The coleslaw that came with the nachos also didn’t have mayo thanks to the staff so all in all a really good visit.

Got the Flor de Jamaica y los tacos de aguacate. Fueron delicioso. I would highly recommend, just ask the staff sin queso y sin crema on the tacos and poof! Vegan tacos! One of the few meals I ate in CR that I completely cleared the plate. ALSO good happy hour options. This is definitely a must stop if you’re in town for a few days. The view was also beautiful from upstairs even from inside (bring a jacket if you want to sit outside). Staff did seem a little confused on the vegan thing but the ingredients are all listed so you can easily ask for something extra or something taken off! I was actually surprised to see multiple options!

Read moreOnly downside was as a solo traveller i was told I couldn’t sit outside because the seats were being kept for couples and groups because it would be busy time coming up. My money is as good as any so wouldn’t return for that reason as a solo.

At first sight there are not many options on the menu but once you ask the staff they can make something vegan for you. I had the salad verde and it exceeded my expectations. It was fresh and flavourful!

Das Lokal ist optisch ein Hingucker, es gibt auch sehr viele Plätze im Freien. Die Speisen sind leider nicht extra gekennzeichnet, wir mussten nachfragen. Auf Nachfrage gibt es aber auch vegane Optionen. Man kann zwischen Burritos und Taccos wählen. War sehr lecker, hab ich so noch nie gegessen, sehr knusprige Füllung.

We were visiting Monteverde and looked up veg-friendly places on HappyCow. We were excited to try this place but unfortunately although we ordered from the plant-based menu, they served us two dishes with meat. Very upsetting as we noticed in one dish but ate part of another dish before realizing. They were very apologetic and discounted our bill, but this was very disturbing to us.

I had the avocado tacos, and the cherry lime spritzer. I asked if they could accommodate onion free, and the server was very helpful. She checked with the kitchen and let me know which items could be both vegan and onion free. The food was very fresh and it was delicious!

Worth a visit whilst in Santa Elena - Edit
Great vibe and friendly service. They have a lot of vegan options and a seperate vegan / veggie menu. Staff are knowledgeable about the vegan diet and suitable options. We chose veg and mushroom tacos - They were OK but weren't the most flavourful. We may have chosen not a great option though. The burritos looked great! Offer a range of cocktails and beers too.

Los tacos veganos fueron muy básicos, la tortilla se rompieron sin necesidad de agarrarlo, el relleno del taco estaban muy aguados. El chifrijo vegano estaba muy aguado, y no dan aguacate entero, lo que dan es una salsa, además el chicharrón de garbanzo estaba muy pastoso.
