Great options - Edit
For the Castro which is a bit of a vegan wasteland, this is definitely a great option with a whole separate and clearly marked vegan menu!

Hidden gem - Edit
I found taco boys randomly when I was craving Mexican food, and didn’t wanna make it myself. Was pleasantly surprised at the extensive vegan menu, not just one or two options of tofu, or beans, and rice. Got a jack fruit burrito. Oh my goodness, so tasty, so flavorful. Second time I actually went to the restaurant. It’s a cute almost hole in the wall place, staff was pleasant. Got the vegan quesadilla very tasty.

Amazing burrito - Edit
Recently ate the greatest vegan burrito of my life here, the supreme vegan with lime carnitas. I highly recommend it! My gf had a quesadilla and she liked it fine, but the burrito was much better.

Whole vegan menu! - Edit
Taco Boys has an entire separate vegan menu with vegan cheese, sour cream, and many vegan protein options including beyond meat products. I got the California burrito and an agua fresca and it was a great meal. Big burritos so come hungry!

Amazing - Edit
Possibly the best meal I’ve had all holiday. This place may not be vegan but they have a fully vegan menu and certainly know what they’re doing. The wet burrito was delicious and it was lovely to have a range of vegan desserts to choose from. 100% recommend

Very Flavorful - Edit
I went here with a friend after researching on HAPPY COW. We both prefer all vegan places but there are none in the Castro where we had another engagement. The vegan menu is plentiful. I got the taco plate and she got the nachos. We were both impressed by the seasoning and generous portions. My friend said the vegan sour cream was very good.

delicous burritos - Edit
We had the vegan chimichanga burritos and they were delicious. We also had fries and vegetables. The vegetables were not special (a bit oily).

Favorite vegan TACOS in the bay - Edit
The vegan Al pastor tacos are my favorite tacos in the bay area. They are so tasty and flavorful. They even have 2 dollar tacos on Tuesdays. The refried beans and rice are delicious too. #Veganuary

Pretty bland - Edit
As the previous review said, this was disappointing. I got the vegan cali burrito with steak strips, and it was pretty bland.

Bland food - Edit
Was really looking forward to this after seeing the reviews but it was really bland and had no flavour. I got the supreme burrito with steak strips and the breakfast burrito with beyond sausage, and got the green salsa with it.

Delicious vegan tacos - Edit
Massive vegan menu and the proteins are DELICIOUS. Best so far is the Al pastor but the ground “beef” is excellent also.

Huge vegan menu - Edit
This place has 2 complete menus. One regular, one vegan. I always get the vegan tacos al pastor. Their vegan sour cream is legit.

Pretty good, great vegan menu - Edit
Got the breakfast burrito! For potatoes that use fries, and the cheese they use is daiya (not my personal favorite). The salsa wasn't overly flavorsome either.

Quesadillas! - Edit
I loved the seitan quesadilla. The cheese was melty! They should either not include any chips on the side at all or portion it more appropriately. The nachos come in an entree-sized portion. And the classic cheesecake is so decadent!

Very knowledgeable staff - Edit
The staff here was very knowledgeable on what was vegan.
Read moreThe menu is also HUGE so it was nice to see so many options.
The chips and salsa here are a MUST. So delicious and fresh.
I got a wet burrito with Al pastor. They used beyond meat so it didn’t really taste like Al pastor at all, just ground beef which I’m not the biggest fan of but it wasn’t bad. The burrito was huge and plenty of food for the price.
I also got the breakfast burrito to eat the next day. I ordered it with the sausage but after I paid they told me they were out so I switched to soyrizo. I wound up picking it out because it was too overpowering but other than that the breakfast burrito was good.
The inside it really small but there are still tables to order.
Decent place but I would try other places in the area first before returning.

Yummy vegan Mexican - Edit
Decent vegan Mexican food with a ton of vegan options. You can get almost anything vegan here. The quality is decent but often I find the food could be hotter (EG vegan cheese is never melted)

Really good! - Edit
Absolutely in love with the vegan supreme burrito (choice of beans, choice of protein, rice, avocado, pico de Gallo, vegan cheese and vegan sour cream). The seitan is freaking delicious! Taco Boys is on the more expensive side for a casual taco joint… this 1 burrito is $17.50 before tip. But I like to treat myself to a hearty burrito at Taco Boys now and again! The vegan chocolate cake was really tasty as well.

Really great vegan menu. Had a California burrito with beyond sausage - was really tasty. Want to try the soyrizo next! It’s great having a taco place with a full vegan menu that includes vegan cheese and sour cream😄

Delicious and lots of protein options, violife cheese - Edit
I love that they have a vegan menu with many options, and that there are many protein options that are specifically listed (whether they use beyond ground meat, gardein, sweet earth, etc.) and that they also have drinks and desserts like different flavors of daiya cheese cake. The fact that they use other companies products to prepare their tacos is not a problem for me, because what they create is delicious and exactly what I had hoped for. I got al pastor tacos made with beyond, and my husband got a burrito with gardein steak strips, violife cheese, tofutti to sour cream, pinto beans, French fries, salsa and a little bit of rice in it. Both were really tasty. The place is pretty small both inside and out, but there were probably 3 outdoor tables where we could eat with our dog

Tons of Vegan Options - Edit
This was a great place to get a burrito! There is a separate vegan menu with multiple “meat” choices (tofu, chicken, ground beef, seitan, beef strips, and soyrizo). Good portion sizes and the vegan cheese and sour cream were very convincing! Bonus: they toasted their tortillas!

Very medium - Edit
We got half and half mojado vegan burritos, one chick’n, one soyrizo. They were absolutely fine but nothing better than we could’ve made on our own. It is nice that they have the vegan options, but there are plenty of burritos in this city that are more enjoyable even without cheese and sour cream.
