Honestly don’t trust that dishes are vegan

Although my family has enjoyed coming here for years, I am, at this point, not convinced that my meal will be prepared vegan. Over the years we have always told our server that we are vegan, they always acknowledge it and suggest an option or two, but recently there has been confusion on their part about whether their tofu was being fried in the same oil as their meats. (Apparently it was, but we were never told that until recently). Now if you go there, they will offer vegans uncooked tofu in their dishes. They don’t seem to get it. Sometimes it seems like they are trying but in the end I guess they don’t care that much for business from vegans and vegetarians. Again, I am sad to have to write this review because I like to support local restaurants.

Pros: Good peanut sauce and vegetables

Cons: Can’t trust that it is vegan

Health inspection…

Out of three stores, their best rating is an 89. Cross contamination, open food…no thanks.

Tasty, Great Service

I enjoyed my experience at Ta Ra Rin! They were so nice, totally on top of it with service and they have a number of options that are naturally vegan, and others that they can adapt. The hot tea came in a nice pot, with the option of honey and lemon.

Pros: Many vegan options, Great service, Fast to go service

Also they offer tempeh as one of their proteins. I didn’t try it, but it’s on the menu.

Great Thai Food

I’ve been eating here for 15 or so years. They offer many vegan options. You just have to let them know you are vegan and they will tell you which options can’t be made vegan.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great flavors , Large plate size
