Awesome healthy food!

It took me one year to visit Symbiose since moving to Leipzig, and I'm glad I finally did! The food is beautifully presented and tastes awesome, worth every penny. The menu changes every week so boredom will never be an issue, and they use very seasonal ingredients. Mine and my boyfriend's dish were both great. And the blackberry tiramisu... need I say more? :)

Pros: Seasonal, Healthy, Changes weekly

Cons: A little more than I'd usually spend

Opt for the brunch!

The brunch is quite good with a lot of homemade salads and and things to put on your bread. A la carte is alright. One can feel that they are trying to be inventive and come up with new ideas - which works in some cases and in some it does not. Unfortunately I have experienced slow and inexperienced service occasionally.

Pros: homemade

Cons: pricey, slow service

Perfect

The first thing I would highly recommend to you is the sunday's brunch from 11 - 15 o'clock. Paying 14,50 € you will have the best breakfast buffet you will ever get! Everything is handmade, vegan and regional.
The staff is really friendly and you can also ask the cook after his recipes.
Having lunch or dinner is also really great but for students a bit expensive.
It's totally worth it! In summer, you can sit outside. But attention: Always make a reservation!

Great menu, fantastic choice of drinks

Very delicious food, I've had a carob drink which is hard to find. A bit pricey but it's worth.

Delicious Sunday brunch in a relaxed atmosphere

Having been for brunch before at the cafe that was once in the same location, we were pleased to hear that this place did veggie brunch with a focus on organic and regional ingredients.

Most of the food was vegan (with the exception being a plate of cheese) and included a mixture of hot a cold stuff, such as: bread, croissants, spreads/dips (e.g. hummus, guacamole, jam, chocolate spread), salad, fruit salad, fake meat slices (seitan), German-style potato salad, yoghurt and cereal/muesli. The hot things were a Mediterranean vegetable bolognese, a bean and mushroom casserole, potato soup, roasted pumpkin wedges, boiled potatoes, curry falafel and a pear and chocolate crumble.

The quality of the food was good and there was a good variety on offer to please most. The focus on seasonal produce was great. We paid €12.90, which includes a drink, with children between 5-11 paying €6,90 and children under 4 eating for free.

One thing to note is that although they open at 10, the hot food isn't brought out until 11:30.

Pros: Focus on organic & regional ingredients, Good value, Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere
