Serves meat, vegan options available. Chain of quick-service salad bar restaurants originating from Washington DC where its first outlet was est. in 2007. Order at the counter from the pre-designed menu of salads, or build your own. Has tofu for add-in or as substitution for meat plus other fillings like nuts, seeds, cabbage, onion, corn, and cucumber. Ask for vegan dressing. Open Mon-Sun 10:30am-10:00pm.

It's Sweet Green! If you don't know, now you do.😄

Sweetgreen is tasty and trusted. They're pretty common around the DC area and are a good go to if you need some mega greenage. Flavorful and colorful. This one is pretty good, nothing extra special about it though.

Salad sanctuary

In Silver Spring, there needs to be more healthful fast options like Sweetgreen. I love this place, because it is super fast to get your greens on, or grains! They also have some juices and teas that you can easily self-dispense.

My favorite is the ability to make your own mix of salad - pick arugula or baby spinach or mesclun or kale. Then, add on 4 lovely choices of items, and a dressing - for just under $7. Add on more items for a smidge more.

They also clearly mark the dressings and pre-made bowls that are vegan. Awesome. I love the spicy cashew and carrot dressings, but, really, they are all delicious.

Great seasonal choices, too, and the veggies are what's fresh.

Fast and affordable - you can order it before you arrive if you have the app. Yum!
