Beware: Found chicken my vegan bowl - Edit

I used to go to Sweetgreen all the time when I lived in Washington DC and they were AMAZING. The Shroomami bowl was epic- I would have eaten it every day if I could. I hadn't been to a Sweetgreen since then (that was back in 2018) and was happy to find they have them here in the bay area. I ordered the Shroomami bowl but they make their bowls different now and it was not nearly as good. Ok, but not amazing. But the real dealbreaker? Found a piece of chicken in with the tofu. The ingredients are all in small containers behind the counter in a sort of assembly line-up, so it's very clear how stuff ends up in the container next to it from the staff ladeling things out- the containers are literally all packed in together. But nope, never going back- it kinda ruined it for me.
I also got the foccacia with hummus, which was very underwhelming.

Pros: Decent price

Cons: Meat cross-contamination, Presentation unimpressive (compared to past)

One superb vegan salad an many options - Edit

Really fresh and really good. The shroomami is pre configured which can be changed or make your own. Excellent salad and really good ingredients you can be creative with

Need more vegan options! - Edit

Overall good salad. Shroomami is vegan. But shocked by how few vegan options there were among the menu of set items. Of course one can create your own salad there as well.

Won't come back - Edit

Not too happy with the experience. They wouldn't take my order because they said they threw away all the grains for the day... and it was well within their open hours. I'd rather support the vegan and vegetarian restaurants in the area rather than bet again on a place that serves fish, chicken, and cheese in every salad and bowl except one.

Custom my bowl - Edit

In general, the super jumbo chains aren't my thing. But I can't resist the custom bowls here. Always the thing to satisfy my cravings, with some seasonal specials. I've probably visited 50 Sweetgreens, coast to coast. A guilty pleasure.

Pros: As vegan as you want to be.
