Fabulous Vegan Friendly Restaurant - Edit
Sweetgrass Grill is a quaint restaurant located in the heart of Tarrytown. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service was wonderful. There were so many vegan menu items that it was difficult to choose.
Read moreThe bread that is served at the table is a nice rustic bread and comes with a vegan white bean dip. Our group tried three appetizers: the buffalo cauliflower (which was really yummy!), the artichoke cakes (delicious!), and a polenta dish on the daily specials (so much flavor!). The vegan dinner items at our table were the sweet potato quinoa burger (a little on the soft side) and the spring gnocchi (which was a hit!). We upgraded our burger side to include sweet potato fries which did not disappoint.
We would definitely recommend Sweetgrass Grill and look forward to our next dining experience!
Pros: Excellent service, Yummy food!!, So many vegan options!!
Cons: None!

A wonderful dinner! - Edit
My boyfriend and I had the kale salad and the vegan salmon. My goodness! It was hard to tell it wasn’t really fish. It was so delicious. And whatever you do- don’t leave without having one of their amazing vegan desserts. We enjoyed the vegan salted chocolate tart. It’s to die for!

Great restaurant with many vegan options - Edit
The menu clearly labeled vegan options and which options could be modified to be vegan. Plus our server was also very clear about what was vegan and what additional dips, breads, etc. were vegan.
Read moreWe had vegan buffalo cauliflower wings, french onion soup, oshi vegan salmon and they were all great. The quinoa sweet potato burger was okay.
We didn’t have room for dessert but they had vegan options there too.

Super vegan friendly!! - Edit
Yeah! This is the type of Omni place you love to see, with tons of vegan options and menu items that are vegan by default. Vegan dishes aren’t an afterthought here, but an integral part of the menu. For example, several of the salads with a “creamy” or “yogurt” dressing were marked vegan; when I asked about it, they said they use vegan yogurt for the sauces as their default, not a side option. 🥰
Read moreI was there for brunch and had the tofu scramble and shared a seasonal salad. Both dishes were really good. I would be excited to go back and am looking forward to trying a dinner meal there in the future.
More Omni places like this, please!!

Loved the vegan salmon - Edit
Nice restaurant with some outdoor seating in a cute downtown neighborhood. They offer vegan options clearly marked on the menu. They recently launched a vegan salmon which was amazing, especially on their vegan ceasar salad. Mac and cheese could use a bit more flavor though. Highly recommend the salmon.

The finest vegan option place in town - Edit
We tried this nice restaurant in different seasons and times of the day, it’s always busy, you may want to book in advance!
Read moreFood is great, half of the menu is veganizable.
It’s probably not the best place to have conversations as it gets very loud, but the food is worth a visit if you are around, they always have some amazing mushroom specialties, so if that’s your thing don’t miss it!
Desserts are good but don’t really match how good the sides and main courses are!
Pros: Delicious options, Cozy atmosphere, Central location
Cons: Not fully vegan, Few vegan options, It gets crowded and noisy

Absolutely fab food and best restaurant in Westchester County for vegans - Edit
Rarely do I eat at a restaurant and not know how it was made, including seitan dishes. Well, the Maple Miso at this hip and comfortable eatery was just that. The Hen of the Woods dish as a whole was wonderful. Check out my photos. There are many options on this small menu. The cocktails were very tasty as well as the wines and beers. We liked everything we ever ordered. That says a lot.
Read moreSweetgrass is perfect for a date or special meal, although we have also enjoyed brunch there.
The relaxed feeling of the dining room matches the music. The music is really nice and not very loud. You can have a quiet conversation and enjoy a table of friends or family. The service is really good in not pushing you out the door and catering to your needs. We never had extra plates on our table because the main course interfered with the appetizer.
One caveat, they should have another vegan dessert because many of us are not Chia pudding fans.
Parking may take a minute at busy times such as weekends or during the day, but not terrible. You can get here by Metro North train or via the Bee Line #1 bus. The train is a lovely ride along the Hudson River.
Reservations are recommended, but there are tables available at off times, possibly during a light rush, and you can also sit at the bar. Our favorite place in Westchester County.
Pros: Interesting, tasty choices, Service, Ambiance
Cons: Lack of dessert options

Good Quality Meals For All - Edit
Whenever I’m looking for a restaurant in my area, I always need to check if there are both meat and vegan options to accommodate my family and me. This place has great tasting options for all. It’s a bit on the pricy side but the food is great quality and you can tell they take their time and effort to create their eclectic menus dishes. Definitely coming again!

Love Sweet Grass Grille! Some of the best vegan selections in Westchester!
Read moreWent here for brunch, got the autumn hash, which was good but do not think I’ll order next time I go. Also got the eggplant fries which were so good! They also had vegan wild hive pancakes with fruit and vegan mascarpone along with house-made Nutella sweet cream apple, banana pancake that can be made vegan.
For dessert, my boyfriend and I got the cheesecake parfait and coconut sugar-cinnamon bombolini, which was out of this world!

We got the vegan burger and BBQ spaghetti squash sandwich. Overall, very underwhelming especially for the price. However, it wasn’t bad, and if you’re in a pinch it may be a good vegan option.

This is where vegans go when they want well-crafted vegan food and great service. The tofu hash is divine and generously portioned. Leave room for dessert, because there's a skillet cookie with vegan ice cream that you'll long remember.

Awesome dinner! - Edit
I have had amazing brunch here before a while ago but this was my first time back as a vegan. The entire place is very vegan friendly with vegan (and gluten free) items clearly marked. I ordered a special fava bean soup which was delicious (the menu marked which local farm the ingredients were from) as an appetizer. I ordered a sweet potato, quinoa, and kale burger and it was SOOOO GOOOOD. Basically it’s all good. Come here.
