EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED

Being vegan in NOLA can sometimes feel like you're missing out on the food (heart and soul) of the city. This place offered mac, jambalaya, fried shrooms, yams, jerk cauliflower and much more. You can choose up to 4 things per box and they stuff it full! It was extremely good and we swaddled out after. The menu changes daily but can be found on the web.

Pros: Delicious , Massive portions, great value

We ate everything

We took the Trolly from downtown then walked a mile to get here. It is definitely a destination restaurant but worth the adventure. We ordered 4 of the 4 item containers then found a table and ate family style. I’m not sure if people eat here more because it’s vegan or because it’s so yummy. If you are in new Orleans and you do or don’t eat meat, you should eat here. It’s like Thanksgiving, it’s always about the sides because the Turkey is always gross.

SO GOOD!!!

If you are a vegan visiting nola, waste no time anywhere else! HONESTLY!! Everywhere else I ate was just okay in comparison. Next time I'm just gonna keep eating here every day I'm in nola!!! I went here on a Monday and had the fried cauliflower which no joke tasted exactly like fried chicken, the immaculate sweet potatoes and incredible mac and cheese. The portion sizes are huge and I had leftovers to bring back for dinner. I would go back JUST to eat here again!

Pros: everything

A little bite of this...

I really enjoy the buffet line style options. I got some things and my husband got others, so we got to eat many options that day. All delicious.

Pros: So many options.

Eat your heart out

You go down the line picking up to four of your favorite items. There are about 20 options (so hard to choose) of hearty soul food and a create your own salad option.

Pros: All of the soul food under the sun

I travel ALOT, but this is by far the best vegan food I have ever had. The staff is super nice. Ask them for their recommendations, but you won’t be disappointed.

Sooo perfectly good!!!

I just want to buy it all! Whenever I’m in NOLA we have to stop by. Today I changed my order 4 times in my head just because I was listening to the line of people order ahead of me. I finally decided on the cauliflower, mushrooms, au gratin potatoes, bread pudding, mac n cheese, collards and corn bread. We’ll be good for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. It’s so good y’all!!

Pros: everything!

Cons: none at all!

Fresh and full of flavor

Was so impressed with how good everything was. The Mac and cheese and stuffed potatos were amazing. Cauliflower and fried mushrooms were good. Pretty cheap prices for the amount of food you're getting.

Pros: Inexpensive, Different options every day of the week

Okra Gumbo

Convenient, clean, and comfortable.
I've had several options and all of the foods are very well seasoned. My favorites are the bread pudding, the okra gumbo, and the curry vegetables.

Pros: Affordable

I’m blown away

All of my experience with Soulfood is from the Midwest, so I’ve not been very impressed. This restaurant made me understand it. This is some of the best vegan food I’ve had in a long time.

Pros: Rotating menu, Quick service, Big portions

Cheap and delicious

I was beyond full from this place. My boyfriend recommends the saucy cauliflower wings and I recommend the red beans and rice. So affordable compared to california food and from the French market prices

BEST NOLA VEGAN FOOD!

I’ve been to LA Denver New York Chicago and all the other amazing vegan buffets through the US. An amazing establishment that serves hands down the most incredible vegan buffet styled food I’ve ever had. Try all the options if you can. Each one disappoint

Pros: Excellent buffet, Friendly staff , Very green

Cons: Tougher area , They can run out , Idk

Alabama approves the NOLA vegan soulfood

The girls working here were so sweet, just like the sweet potatoes. The Mac and cheese was amazing, and by amazing I mean some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The red beans and rice was out of this world. I mean so delicious. And the fried cauliflower with sweet and sour dipping sauce? One of the best fried anything I have ever eaten. 10/10 will mos def eat again. The price was right on time for the huge portions you’re given. Nice sized parking lot, easy to get in and out. My only complaint is that this joint is 3 hours from where I live.

Pros: Affordable prices , Delicious food , Nice sized portions

Cons: Far away from where I live

Always enjoy going here!

I went for my second time yesterday and it was even better than the first. I came after the Japan Fest and I was famished. I had shepherds pie (first time ever for me), greens and the bread pudding (first time as a vegan). All delicious and the new location is a necessary, super nice and spacious location

Pros: New location, Desserts, Variety & Price
