Oasis in East Texas - Edit
With little or no vegan options off Interstate 20 between Dallas and Lord only knows how far east into the Deep South, Sweet Sabine's is an oasis, serving fresh vegan sandwiches, salads and desserts. Food was tasty and memorable, and the owner was a gracious host. Located on the town square, this is a great stop for ANY foodie, vegan or not (as they also serve omnivore selections too...this is Texas after all), who wants to gobble up some East Texas treats without having to consume an unhealthy dose of bacon grease, lard, and butter.
Pros: Vegan menu in East Texas!, Fresh, memorable selections, Great location on historic town square
Cons: Interior is somewhat Spartan
