Delicious desserts (very slow staff).

Really delicious desserts. Many options. Friendly, but slow serving staff, huge line outside, many staff people, but everybody is moving so slow...

Pros: Lots dessert options, Delicious taste, Decent prices

Cons: Long waiting lines, Slow serving, No toilet, only few seatings

Friendly, tasty food

A small cafe that offers a lot of different options. They recently changed their menu to offer subs or salads as their main savoury options. I’ve tried a few of their subs with different options - all have been great. I’ve also tried a lot of their different sweet options such as their cakes and biscuits and loved them. All of their staff are super friendly and welcoming.

The one thing I’ve been waiting to come back since NZ had lockdown are the cheese and marmite scrolls. They were my favourite!

Great bakery

Stopped in for a decadent afternoon snack of a salted caramel thickshake and a cinnamon roll. Fantastic. The cinnamon roll wasn’t overly sweet and it had a lot of cinnamon. The thickshake. Wow. Not your ordinary milkshake. It was spectacular. Probably the best place I’ve been to in Wellington over the last couple of months for sweet treats. Highly recommend!

Pros: All vegan , Spectacular thickshake

Cons: Not a lot of seating

Quick, simple and delish

Great spot for a quick pit stop. They offer a variety of bagels with interesting fillings, as well as not steak, chicken or ribs plates with mash, gravy and coleslaw.
The portions aren’t huge but decent value for money and the cinnabons are absolutely delishious.

Pros: Quick lunch or snack

Heaven on Willis Street

Recently moved to Wellington and the lovely food and staff helped keep a smile on my face during those first few difficult weeks living in a new city. The brownies are to die for!

Great comfort food

Affordable, cosy place in the centre of Wellington. They offer 3 different savoury dishes (not ribs, not chicken and not steak) and an array of sweets (cinnamon rolls, cakes, brownie). Went there twice and really enjoyed it, though the cakes are too sweet (and top big, but hey more bang for your bucks!) for me

Pros: Awesome staff, free wifi

Cons: Too sweet (for me at least)

Lovely service and good coffee

Oat milk! And cinammon buns and marmite and vegan cheese scrolls. Lots of cake and a couple of savoury daily options too. Very sweet place and very nice girls working there. Not the best food and drink quality but it’s also a small local-style place and we were pleased with what we got

Pros: Service, Selection, Facilities

Cons: Lacked taste a bit

Tasty cakes and lovely service

We came here for lunch and ordered a lasagne with a rice side salad, the ribs with chips and coleslaw and a dessert. The ribs were delicious although the serve was quite small for the price (4 strips for $15). Also had the lasagne of the day with a rice salad. I wasn't a fan of rice salad (the tomato and cucumber threw me off), but the banoffee made up for it. Lovely service and good vibes.

Pros: Desserts, Service and atmosphere

Cons: Small portions

The chocolate peppermint cookies were extremely soft and yummy.

Transcendent

They say that people can have transcendent experiences with food. I never believed this until trying their jacked up burger for WOAP! Hands down THE best burger I have ever had! Also tried their mini banoffe pie and it is delicious, proper vegan caramel inside not date paste caramel! Thats what I like!

Pros: Amazing flavours, Everything is suitable for vegans, Great at low waste/ reusability

Good for sweet cravings

Really nice little place with a good range of sweets and savoury things too. I shared a cake with my friend and got an oreo filled cookie, I don’t have a huge sweet tooth but they were pretty good! They didn’t have as much as I thought they would in their cabinet but that could be because it was the end of the day.

Pros: All vegan

Gluten free banana cake

I had a really exceptionally good gluten free cake! Always good to find a vegan cafe. The notice board is good to find other vegan happenings too.

Sweet Release Cake and Treats

Menu is fully vegan. Friendly staff.

The coffee and sandwiches were okay, but the banoffee pie was great.

Would be nice if there were more seating.

Delicious cakes

This is a must-eat for any vegan with a sweet tooth. I come here every time I'm in Wellington and their cake selection never disappoints. They also do breakfast bagels (vegan BLT etc) all extremely good value for money. Caters very well for nut and gluten free, too.
