Very good range of vegan choices for both vegans and non vegans - Edit
The extensive menu made choosing difficult, but that's a nice problem to have! Starters of spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce and southern fried mushrooms with garlic mayo were tasty and fresh. I had the japanese satay skewers with tofu for main which was lovely - beautifully soft and airy tofu with a hint of peanut coating to go with a satay sauce, rice and cucumber. Very well balanced. My partner had teriyaki tofu which unfortunately was not good - too heavy on the teriyaki, couldn't taste anything but that which was a shame. Did feel as though it lacked the fresh healthy vegan options.

Best vegan spot in Cumbria - Edit
Every vegan on holiday in the Lakes needs to come here! The menu is huge - mix of authentic pan Asian and more junk foody stuff (sandwiches, burgers, pasta, etc). All executed with care and tonnes of flavour. Lovely staff.

A must-visit! Worth travelling for!! - Edit
The menu is EXTENSIVE. Fully vegan and multiple different cuisines. We had a chikn pad Thai, a Philly steak and cheeze baguette, and doner dirty chips. Our son had nuggets and chips. We really enjoyed it. Small cafe but wasn't too busy (a local secret perhaps!) Interesting vegan cook books to nosey through while waiting. Family run, nice staff.

So Good - Edit
What a marvellous place. Exclusively vegan, it has a big selection of great food. The music was genuinely "background." (Music only - no singing and not too loud.) The charming waitress even turned it down further without me asking when I joked about why I'd sat in a corner of the spacious cafe. The food was tasty, well-presented and the portions were generous. If I had to make a minor criticism, I'd suggest adding smoothies to the menu, smartening up the toilet and improving kitchen ventilation to reduce frying odours. However these were all very minor issues and I have no hesitation in giving 5 stars and a "favourite" award.

It’s about time that Barrow got it’s own Vegan Cafe and I finally got the chance to visit the new Sweet Pepper Cafe and as expected I wasn’t disappointed!
Read moreThey have a great selection for lunch from salad to even a ‘Cheeze Burger’. On my visit today I was served by a nice polite lady who took our order quite quickly, and the food arrived quickly too. I got the Caeser Salad and added some ‘Chickn’ onto it which was delicious! I also got the Fried Oyster Mushrooms and they were delicious also! Even treated myself to a very tasty Avocado Bubble Shake! I absolutely plan to go again, I might even make it my weekly spot for lunch.
Pros: Good choice of food and drink, Friendly staff and service, Spacious
