Laid-back atmosphere, good portions - Edit
I went with a friend for Wednesday night dinner. The restaurant has a very casual vibe to it -- not a great place to go if you're in a hurry, but for catching up with a friend it was nice not to feel rushed.
Read moreI had the full-size jerk tofu, which they warned me would be spicy. I found it not spicy and a little bit bland, but it was a good variety of vegetables and left me feeling full. Even as a spice-lover, be careful with the hot sauce they offer on the tables. I used too much and almost died :)
Pros: Good portions, Friendly service, Several vegan options
Cons: Bit pricy, Not very flavorful

Long Wait - Edit
My partner and I arrived at 2pm and were not served our food until 2:45. The food was tasty and filling, but not worth the 45 minute wait. The plate was large and full, but it did cost $15. Probably won't go again due to the wait time.

delicious! huge portions! - Edit
I would give this restaurant 5 stars except happy cow doesn't allow that for meat serving restaurants... We got the tofu stew & the jerk tofu. The full portion in huge! If you don't want leftovers, go for the half-portion ( It will still probly be hard to finish!). The meals come with really flavorful beans/rice & the plantains were cooked perfectly! The jerk seasoning is a little bit spicy but not too crazy.
Read moreThe waitress was really nice and gave a warm welcoming. I ordered to go and waited about 15 mins for the food. Definetly going back here!
Pros: huge portions, flavorful seasonings, friendly staff
Cons: in San Leandro

Lots of options and Tasty Food - Edit
Nice full menu of meat, seafood and vegan friendly dishes. All the vegan dishes are tofu based for the protein.
Read moreMost dishes come with beans and rice and fried plantain. Half order is a good amount of food but order full if you're hungry.
No frills interior. Service is on "island time" so if you go don't be in a rush or so hungry you can't wait. We were there on Sunday and they had a live musician playing tunes which was nice during the wait.
Would return.
Pros: Lots of veg options, Cheap
Cons: Slow service

Delicious Island Cuisine - Edit
I was introduced to Sweet Fingers by my vegan family who lives in the Bay Area, and what a delicious find it was!
Read moreThe Jerk Vegetables and Curry Vegetables, ordered extra spicy are delicious and bursting with flavor. You can order 1/2 or full order. The portions are large; I'm able to eat off a full order for 3 days. The dish comes with rice & peas and plantains.
There are lots of other vegan entree options and I cannot wait to return to the Bay Area to try them all!
Pros: excellent vegan dishes, large portions, reasonably priced
