Worth the search!... - Edit

We had to search for this restaurant in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, eventually locating it down an alleyway, and discovering that it was the first floor eating place for a hotel called the Noble & Swan.
Anyway, the food was very tasty, especially the tofu and mushrooms! We washed it down with a non-alcoholic Bavaria beer.
If we weren't coming to the end of our long Asian adventure I think we would opt to come back for a second course!

Pros: Very tasty food

Cons: Not the cheapest

no atmosphere, bad service and so so food - Edit

There was no one in the restaurant. Which can be called quiet, but if the staff is nowhere to be found,.... they forgot what we asked for and we had to walk downstairs to ask someone to take our order. The food was okay, but there are way better vegan restaurants in town. Would not recommend.

Pros: food was okay

Cons: bad service

microwaved readymades - Edit

The sound of a microwave oven revealed what was coming - both for lasagne and bruschetta. The latter had hair in the bread.

Pros: attentive staff (the only staff member present)

Cons: poor food, should make more of an effort

Delicious quiet restaurant - Edit

I had a delicious meal. Not many vegan options, and several items in the menu weren't available. I was the only person in the restaurant.

Delightful retreat with good food - Edit

170925, Swans Gone Raw (Nha Hang Chay Thien Nga).

This restaurant is inside a hotel, the entrance to which is 15m off the street, almost exactly opposite the junction of Hang Non and Durong Thanh in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.

A lovely retreat from the chaos of traffic and parked vehicles and life on the street. Tastefully decorated and service is formal. Staff speak and understand English. Menu mostly ovo-vegetarian with 5 or 6 suitable for vegans. We had the selection of 4 different types of spring roll, a claypot and a braised eggplant dish. All were good (although the latter two were very similar).

For 2 people 300,000VND makes it not very cheap but not expensive either.

Pros: Good food, Quiet, elegant restaurant, service good, Price reasonable

Cons: Menu somewhat limited for vegans

undiscovered spot - Edit

This restaurant is in the Noble & Swan hotel. It is unassuming (i was the only guest on three visits). Those looking for busy ambience will not find it here. The food is tasty and fresh. Excellent service. The tempura vegetables were light and crisp and the selection of spring rolls flavourful and varied. I also had small baked potatoes in spices which were simple and filling. The eggplant clay pot was bland, however. They can veganise many meals. Freshly squeezed fruit drinks. Not sure why they have 'raw' in the title as most dishes are cooked. Nice to find decent food in a hygienic atmosphere in Ha Noi.

Pros: food and service

Cons: ambience
