Plantbased Izakaya

This might just be Vienna's first and only fully vegan Japanese restaurant!
The menu is very compact, offering a variety of tapas for sharing, two ramen dishes and a don rice bowl dish. The cuisine seems to be on a more contemporary-trendy side, with desserts like matchs-tiramisu. However, many dishes' flavour profiles are actually more subtle & minimalist. Great care is put into choice of ingredients, texture and presentation.

The 'addictive cabbage' tapas blew me away with its intense, umami-rich dressing. It seems to be an outlier on the tapas menu, as most other tapas lie on the more classical, balanced taste spectrum. The creamy mushroom ramen reflects that as well, unlike the ramen you might be used to from other restaurants.

Outsode seating available.

Out of this world!

-Campari 0.0 Orange 6€
-Avocado Bites 6€
-Tan Tan Tofu 6€
-Inari Mochi Oden 7€
-Matcha Ice Cream 7€

Cozy interior, super friendly staff.

Starting with the apperitive, a classic. Refreshing.

Now the 3 tapas - WOW!! Each one was so flavourful and special. I don't know how I could improve a single one. I got them slightly milder than they'd usually be and the spice was perfect for me.

Sadly they didn't have the matcha tiramisu anymore so I got their new matcha ice cream, and it was insaaane. Imagine a sweet fruit purree, topped with an iced matcha and biscoff crumbs on top - but instead of a drink its a dessert. Delishhh

Something I find problematic - the original, alcoholic Campari is NOT vegan!!! The production uses gelatine. This should not be offered in a "100% vegan" restaurant!!!

Delicious entree, ramen was ok

We had the inari mochi entree dish and that was really good. The ramen, unfortunately, was just ok.
