Value, value, value

I accidentally found this place when Old Club Vegetarian was closed (place always seemed to be closed). It's a hole in the wall, totally local vegetarian buffet with lots of selections all good. Cheek-by-jowl crowded but weirdly comfortable with helpful staff (Chinese only). A full buffet cost less than $3. There is no bottled water. Great hours, great vibe if you're into local.

Pros: Value, Good food, Nice staff

Cons: Hole in the wall, No beverages, Need to share with other customers

Open Late! (Maybe?)

These guys saved me from a date worse than meat on a night when the bus trip got back too late for every other place. Thing is, I didn’t notice they were open after nine when I walked by but after ten they were still going or re-opened?

Pros: Open late, Buffet variety, Very inexpensive

Cons: Like most buffets in Taiwan the dishes are cold
