Feeling like the internet has led me astray regarding vegan options in OBX, but this place is legit. I got the classic chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich & that thing hit the spot. The cookie was soft and chewy (as it should be), the ice cream was creamy, and it was a reasonable price point for a piece of luxury while on vacation. I will come here 15 more times. Oh, and they donate money to awesome charities & staff was very very friendly. Don’t be annoyed with the long line, it goes super fast. They limit how many people can come inside so you aren’t rushed if you go the soft serve route.

Great Ice Cream Sandwiches - Edit
During our visit to Naga Head we stopped in two separate times for the great ice cream sandwiches. First visit I got the vegan mint chocolate and my husband got the classic chocolate chip cookie with vanilla. I preferred his chocolate chip cookie texture to the mint which was a little less chewy. On the second visit I tried the Macaroon and Pistachio while my husband tried the vegan chocolate chocolate. Again his was soft and chewy while the macaroon cookie was a bit disappointing. The macaroon cookie was too hard and there wasn’t enough pistachio flavor in the ice cream so all I tasted was coconut.

They had two flavors of vegan yogurt and at least flavors of ice cream sandwiches. I got the macaroon with pistachio ice cream sandwich and my husband got the lavender lemon one. My son got the pomegranate raspberry frozen yogurt! Everything was delicious! We even bought merchandise to remember the experience!

I went twice, the first time I got one of only 2 vegan options for the self serve ice cream. It was okay, it wasn’t very creamy at all, it tasted slightly watery. I ended up coming back because I couldn’t find anywhere else to go and I got 2 ice cream sandwiches. Those are definitely worth going for, the macaroon pistachio flavor is SO good.

Stopped in with my family - my kids were able to go as crazy as they wanted with the vegan toppings. They loved serving themselves. The atmosphere was fun, friendly, and relaxed. The mango option was delicious.

This place has a cool atmosphere! Be ready for the long line though. They had a mango and chocolate vegan froyo With plenty of suitable toppings like fresh fruit and crushed oreos. The chocolate flavor was super creamy and better than I remember most froyo ever being. But the star of the show was the vegan ice cream sandwiches. There were a few flavors to choose from. I got the chocolate dream and it was one of the best ice cream experiences I've ever had! This place is a must go for the whole family

So many vegan options!! A separate cooler for the Sammies all filled with everything vegan and everything is so well organized and labeled. Very adorable, clean and organized shop. It was my first time there so I was a little confused on where the soft serve was and how to order. It was quite crowded this day so I was probably overwhelmed and missed it. The front counter can get quite crowded with kids and the toppings but the station was very clean and modern.

They only had one vegan soft-serve, a berry sorbet, which was tasty; I added fresh berries from the toppings bar. We also bought the chocolate ice cream sandwiches, which were very decadent. Cute place, nice ambience, and places to sit on the porch as well. It was a little pricey; two cups of sorbet and three ice cream sandwiches were $29.

This place moved exactly a mile south, which we found out when we called after arriving to an empty lot. The soft serve chocolate was delicious, and we topped it with strawberries and pretzels, among the several vegan toppings. We also got a couple of ice cream sandwiches, though the chocolate one was too rich. Several vegan options, and a nice, bright spot.

They offered one vegan soft serve- chocolate- and it was so creamy and tasty. They also had a vegan sorbet and vegan ice cream sandwiches that were great! The staff was so sweet as well. The only con was the plastic spoons, but they are looking into alternatives.

We went three days in a row it was that good! They have 2-3 vegan fro-yo flavors everyday (we had the chocolate almond) with several vegan toppings. They also make 3 vegan cookie ice cream sandwiches that are delicious! The Macan’ Pistach was our favorite. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the place is so cute! We loved it.

My husband and I are embracing the vegan lifestyle. My family went with us tosurf the spoon of fabulous fro-yo at the surfing spoon. My family are carnivores with a side of carnivore eaters. Literally, their comment was “So you say this is vegan.” It is pricey if you load up on toppings but so are the other specialty ice cream chain that weight your purchase. Definitely worth the wait. They let you sample flavors as well. You serve yourself from several soft serve machines and apply your own toppings. Watch the kiddos since it is serve yourself- their creativity my break your pocket.
