Disappointing experience

TL;DR - Call ahead to confirm order to avoid disappointment as online ordering system isn’t accurate/updated to reflect current availability. What I ordered online was not available and ended up waiting 30 minutes for a poorly made wrap and coffee but wasn’t charged due to the inconvenience.

I order ahead online as we were in a rush, unfortunately when we arrived, we were informed they cancelled my order as they didn’t have the ingredients to make the Vegan Tradie Wrap. I asked what ingredients she was missing and what she had as we wanted to eat something before we hit the road and it was the only place open that early. She said she would have to check, she was on her own and there were several other people ordering coffee. She decided to make all the coffee orders first and then came back to me to let me know that she could make a wrap with tomato, spinach, avocado and tomato salsa but that she didn’t have mushrooms.

Finally the food and coffees were made and she asked me to check if I had been charged for the online order as she had cancelled it. I hadn’t been charged and was about to pay when she said there was no charge for the inconvenience; a nice gesture which was appreciated, but honestly would have just preferred paying for coffees and going without wasting my time as food was not worth the wait.

Worth mentioning again, that the woman was running the place on her own, from what I understand, she was meant to have someone else with her and was frazzled trying to take orders and make coffees on her own. Maybe if you come on a day when they are properly staffed and stocked you will have a better experience?
