This was such a pleasant surprise! We ate here 4 times during our weekend trip and each meal was such a blessing!💓 kind staff, charming atmosphere overlooking a little river. My recommendations are: mushroom pizza, potato “fries”, berry smoothie, and super hot coco!! and for brunch (weekends only) you FOR SURE have to get the chocolate chip hot cakes. will add photos. so thankful!☺️

Staff was friendly. A sizeable menu that includes, smoothies, breakfast until 4, as well as raw and sugar free options. Food was well crafted and delicious. Great atmosphere. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner.

Good food but had a bad experience - Edit
I travel a little over an hour just to come here! I’ve never had a bad experience and the food is always amazing! One of the reasons why I love this vegan restaurant is because everything is fresh and homemade (besides the use of some daiya cheese). The kale and artichoke dip, the kimchi quesadilla, the giant burrito, and the falafel are some of my favorites. I have dreams about their pizza with cashew cheese. Some of the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had!! I can’t stop here without grabbing a ginger molasses cookie and a cupcake on my way out! Love it here
Read moreUPDATE: I came here with my boyfriend recently and I didn’t have the best experience like I’ve had in the past. I’m not sure if our server was new or just didn’t really care about customer service. I was a server for over 10 years so when if we were ever out of something on the menu, I always made sure to let my customers know before they order. This did not happen on this day. Our waitress seemed to not know the menu well. My boyfriend isn’t vegan but enjoys going to places like this that have an abundance of food for me to try. He ordered their version of a grilled cheese sandwich with pesto, tomato, onions, Diaya cheese and he added cashew cheese to it. When the sandwich came out it was pretty slim, it had very little pesto, two stringy onions and no tomato in sight. The waitress never came over to check on us while we were eating. When I finally got her attention she came over and my boyfriend told her that he didn’t get any tomatoes in his sandwich, her reply was “yeah we’re out” and she walked away. There was no apology or offering of something else from the menu. Needless to say he didn’t eat the sandwich because it wasn’t good. He left hungry and I left sad and disappointed. I even reached out to the restaurant via their Instagram page about the experience and I never got a reply back. I really love this place and the food has always been good and I’ve never had a bad experience until that day. I haven’t been back since.

Vegan - Edit
I started off with a matcha latte (choices of almond, soy, or coconut mylk; as they call it). Then, I had vegan sushi rolls with a light wasabi soy sauce, and kimchi. Unlike normal veggie maki rolls, this was PACKED with flavor. A must-go-to in Vermont; where many veg-friengly opt. are available. :)

Super Awesome! - Edit
We have been there multiple times since we moved to the area about 9 months ago! It is so refreshing to be able to order almost everything on the menu without substitutions or requesting that it be made differently - this is the first restaurant we have found that truly caters to our lifestyle - it should be the norm (but I digress)!! There have been a few bumps along the way, no one is perfect, but the food is!!!

Love This Place! - Edit
Amazing food. Like AMAZING. It’s very expensive, so I don’t come often, but when I do I am always so pleased! My family, who is very judgmental of vegan food, could not taste the difference between normal cake and their vegan cake. This place is awesome. And the staff is so sweet.

Delicious and relaxing - Edit
Per the staff this place if fully vegan. Many healthful selections on the menu. Went for the Fermented bowl which was well portioned, warm and wholesome. You get to pick your sauce from a whole list of options. Had an oatmeal cookie as well that was just the right amount of crunch, softness, sweetness and salt. The dinning area is really nice with tons of light and overlooking the river that passes through downtown Brattleboro. There is wonderful local art showcased on the walls as well. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Right in the heart of downtown Brattleboro which is easily accessible from multiple public parking areas that aren’t expensive to park.

They do not have avocado, as they recently removed it from the menu out of concern of the large carbon footprint shipping it to Vermont all the way from Mexico. Tasteful signs explain the concern.
Pros: Wholesome and delicious, Made from scratch, Nice sraff

Vegan Paradise - Edit
Our very favorite restaurant around. There is nothing else really like it in all of my vegan travels. Many raw and healthy vegan recipes- they do use honey in a few drinks and dishes but you can opt out. Also doubles as a juice and smoothie bar. It is amazing to have so many wonderful options on a menu! I love their shilajit latte- a special Ayurvedic recipe blend. Deserts are amazing.

Most vegan-friendly restaurant in town - Edit
Brattleboro is a small town but surprisingly has an almost all-vegan restaurant (they do use honey). The restaurant is also gluten-free, so expect alternative style breads and tortillas. We had the quesadillas and the wholesome bowl, which is made of the grain and protein of the day with vegetables. Overall a great place!

What a great place. Only giving 4 stars, because service can be a bit erratic. Sometimes great, sometimes slow, and, on our last visit, I felt rushed to order.

For the healthier vegan - Edit
The food in general is excellent, especially the mushroom wrap. It is super healthy - they are soy-free, gluten-free & peanut free and I think sugar free too (at least no cane sugar in baked goods). This is great for people who need these options however it is not a place I'd take an average omni to eat - it's on the spectrum of "weird hippy food" for those who aren't accustomed to it.

SuperGreat! - Edit
The food is excellent, and the ambience, despite the gentrification of Brattleboro, remains quintessential VT. (Hanging on its wall, you can even spot the weathered signage from Common Ground, Brattleboro’s vintage vegetarian café dating from the countercultural 1960s.) Query about the daily soup, and the waitress will offer you a free sample. Items often are out-of-stock, and service sometimes can be laidback but, geez, this is VT. And remember this is all OG, so the prices are just right.
Read moreAll the raw items are divine. I recommend among the cooked fare the various Bowls for truly nourishing food. Among the many sides, be sure to order the Roasted Veggies, which are so good that I ordered 2 portions all 4 times I dined here, midway between 2 RT’s to northern VT from southern CT. I looked forward to this not just as a rest stop, but more as an oasis. While the cafe sits in the very center of town, it still is an easy on/off from I-91, and ample parking awaits just around the corner on Flat St.
Pros: the raw foods menu, the cooked foods menu

soooo delicious!!! - Edit
Great atmosphere, impeccable service, creative and delicious vegan food! For appetizer, we had the kale & artichoke dip, which was amazing! For main course, I definitely recommend the kimchi quesadilla as a must! My husband had a salad bowl that was really good, healthy and filling. Ask the waiter for recommendations and specialties! We loved everything that he recommended and it was all perfect! The rainbow juice was delicious too! For dessert, we had the mocha pie - soooo delicious! For the quality and portion size, the price was superb! Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent service and reasonably priced great food. there was a very sizable menu with many raw and organic options. The atmosphere was great with extremely cute hippie/alternative chicks as staff who were all friendly and smiling. The food came out very fast. I sat down and they brought me each course perfectly. There was great art and decor with views of the river and comfortable seating either cushioned booths or table and chairs. I live am hour away and I will gladly drive out of my way to eat here.

100% Vegan! - Edit
This place is extremely cute and cozy. Small but it was adequate enough for myself and 4 others with some adjustment to the table placements. Very relaxing vibe with super friendly staff. We got several things, the soup of the day was a medicinal mushroom soup and it was delicious. Bread was an additional $1 which was odd as it was listed on the menu and I did not see a difference in price. We also got a side order of baked fries which were quickly gone. My partner ordered a raw wrap which he said was delicious and we ordered the 12" Pizza for my kids. It was more than enough for them with a thick crust, the sauce on it however was overly sweet. Leaving much of it behind because they could only handle a bit and at $21 it was extremely expensive. Overall, I would return again for a soup and a wrap, but wouldn't take my whole family.

One of my Favorite Places to Eat - Edit
My fiance and I come here fairly often. I love having a vegan restaurant right in town! The staff is always friendly & the food is always fantastic. My only complaints are that the place is on the small side, so it can feel cramped when it's busy, and I really wish they didn't use honey. Oh, and sometimes I wish the portions were a little bigger. All in all a great little spot in great little Brattleboro!

Inconsistent. - Edit
Went there late in 2016, and remember being very pleased. The had the Mushroom burger with cashew cheese and it was delicious. Visited 2 weeks ago and was very excited to have the Mushroom burger again. Unfortunately, this time I found myself incredibly disappointed. Very bland, I mean almost nonflavor at all. I had to drench it in dressing. I left very full, but not satisfied. My SO had a similar opinion as well, loved it last trip, but this time was way less than stellar. I don't want to rate them poorly though as it could have been an off day.

Absolutely awesome. I have tried almost everything on the menu and nothing disappoints. If you're a raw food fanatic, into ayrurvedia/holistic health or just need some delicious place that's guilt and allergen free. This is the vegan/ beegan Mecca of New England. Easy on all stomachs. They even have a kids menu. Did I mention the friendly staff? The price is slightly high but you get quality ingredients 100% of the time. All local produce and almost 100% house crafted creations included delicious deserts with support of local vendors such as Love Alive and Silvermoon Chocolate. A must try. You will be back
