Not really an eatery - Edit
We found this place thanks to Happy Cow. We knew it would be hard to find and it was. Truth is, it really is part of the gym and you enter into the gym and turn left to find it.
Read moreThere is seating but this is in no way an eatery. Rather, it's a small retail outlet that happens to sell a handful of food items.
They have four different pre-made smoothies which sell for €4 to €6 each depending on the size. They sell raw snack bars, a few raw biscuits and cacao items. It's a limited selection.
Have to say, the chocolate smoothies are seriously yummy.
Not to be missed.
Pros: Seriously yummy smoothies
Cons: Limited selection

Good smoothies - Edit
This is a combined shop, selling coconut oil, supplements, superfoods in small packets, books on healthy living, and snack bars, and small cafe, with smoothies, raw bars and raw cheesecake. I'm not sure cafe is the right word, as the menu is limited, but it has a nice, modern seating area, and the quality of the smoothies is great. You do not have to be a member of the gym to use the cafe - but there is no separate entrance, just enter the gym and turn right. Personally, I found the staff a little abrupt, but as I've only visited once it might just have been a bad day.

Nice place! - Edit
We were just in Amsterdam and visited the cafe twice. It's adjacent to a gym, so you get the workout vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff was friendly, although not vegan. We had smoothies both times we were there. They were delicious, but I wish they didn't use xanthan gum in them. The gum prevents the texture from "separating" once the smoothies are made and set in the refrigerator. It would have been better if the smoothies were made fresh, to order, which would have rendered the use of xanthan gum unnecessary. The place had really nice raw crackers and a huge selection of raw chocolate. Delicious. Be ware though - the cafe is NOT vegan. We saw colostrum, raw dairy milk and whey on their board as special smoothie add-ons. That was quite a turn off.

Chocolate Club -- no longer a raw food cafe - Edit
This is a great resource in Amsterdam for raw foodists, but be advised -- the cafe menu has been discontinued indefinitely -- it's now mainly a store for raw cacao products and other raw vegan foods and supplements. You can purchase a delicious green superfood drink or a cacao shake, but otherwise don't expect to find anything to eat except raw chocolate bars and some raw crackers.
Read moreVery friendly.
In de Jordaan. From Dam Square, go past the palace and out on Radhuisstraat to the Westerkerk, then follow Rosengracht to the first side street on the left. It's located in what was previously a dance school, now a health club.

RAWmsterdam - Edit
A good walking distance from the RAI convention center. Great raw take-out. I went here a couple times during my stay and will return next year. I always ordered the combo meal thing that consisted of numerous slaw like dishes, a cutlet, some cripsy chip things and some other yummy raw goodness stuff. Everything was great. It was delightful to find real food in Amsterdam.

Rawfood Cafe - Edit
Yes, it's not immediately obvious as it's not got a big frontage but you will see the dance centre quite easily and it's actually in the same space.
Read moreI was on holiday in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago and I went here twice. The staff were very friendly and I really enjoyed what I bought. I tried the raw choc smoothie and a green smoothie which were both great especially the choc one - like liquid Terry's Chocolate orange! I also had raw quiche and a rhurbard and kiwi pudding, again both very fresh and tasty. As well as the cafe there is also a small shop. I bought some of the mango and chilli LoveChoc and it was gorgeous and different to all the other raw chocs I've tried.

Rawfood Cafe - Edit
It is pretty tricky to find but it is definitely off of Rozengracht on the left side of the street going away from Prisengracht. It is definitely a bit hidden. But it is worth it to go and look for it. I went there and got the best green smoothie I have ever had for breakfast. It was wonderful and the staff was super nice and talked to me for a bit. It was a great find for a lonely traveler.
