Serves meat, vegan options available. Drive-in hotdog restaurant where you park your car right in front and get your food brought to you. The “dressed bun” is vegan bun as are the toppings of mustard, onion, green relish, sport peppers, pickled green tomatoes. Order dressed buns, then add your own vegan hotdog. Fries are included but they are cooked in a shared fryer, so you might order without the fries. Removed February 2024: Limited vegan options.

“Dressed bun”?!?

There are no vegan options at this place unless you want to pay for a hot dog roll with condiments on it. Super Dawg has not been receptive to requests to carry vegan hot dogs, and their fries are cooked in a shared fryer. This place shouldn’t even be listed on Happy Cow.

Seriously, why is this here? I can get a bun with veggies at ANY hot dog stand! No veggie dog = DOES NOT BELONG ON HAPPY COW.

Zero vegetarian options

This shouldn’t be listed on Happy Cow, they do not serve veggie dogs or any other vegetarian options (besides fries), let alone vegan items. This isn’t a site to list places that will sell you a bun you can put YOUR OWN veggie dog in AT HOME.

Dressed Bun

Hey Chicago vegans - you can still enjoy Superdawg! Order the “dressed bun” which includes everything but the dawg. Bring home and add your own vegan hotdog. It costs less with no dawg. The fries are cooked in a shared fryer so be sure to specify “no fries.” Maybe if they get enough orders/requests, they will start serving vegan hotdogs.

Pros: Vegans can still enjoy Superdawg
