Great food - Edit
I’ve been here many times. All the food is good. The mock fried egg and mock duck rolls were my favorite.

A must go if you love chinese vegan food!! The staff are beyond lovely, definitely the best service i’ve experienced in china!! Food is amazing!! The sweet and sour dish is absolutely delicious !! Reasonably priced too!! Highly recommend!! After i discovered this place i came back every night for two weeks! There was so much variety that we never got sick of it!! Definitely suits the western palette :D

Super Vegan - Edit
Super vegan was one of my favorite restaurants to eat at in Shanghai and the prices were incredibly reasonable too.
Read moreI ate here twice and really loved the "Sliced Noodle Soup with Assorted Vegetables" so I ordered it twice. The first time I went I ordered too much food so be mindful of how much you order if you're by yourself! The yuba appetizer I ordered the first time was delicious and on point. The soup had really great, rich flavor and the gluten in the soup, which was delicious and chewy. If this restaurant were closer to my hotel, I probably would have eaten at Super Vegan every day.

So many wonderful options, and great service - Edit
I took exit 5 from Xujiahui 地铁站 and had zero problems finding it from there.
Read moreThe food is so good, and the menu is pretty enormous. I had the spicy cabbage which had spicy peppers, celery and tofu skins; the black fungus which I always love, the eggplant with lotus root which had hot and sour flavors; none of those dishes disappointed, but my absolute favorite was the tangerine beef. That was 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌. I would recommend all four of those dishes, but I’m going back specifically for that one. The only mistake I made was not getting a rice or noodle dish to mediate the abundance of flavors and spices.
The service was also exceptional, friendly, and quite speedy. The restaurant isn’t big, but it was full by the time I sat down, which was a Saturday at 12:30 pm.
Pros: Enormous menu, Fantastic food, Wonderful service

Biggest vegan menu I've seen - Edit
I came back every day of my stay in Shanghai. The food was too good! 😅 A large menu of different varieties of completely vegan food. Typical Asia. Also delicious fake meat. The owner speaks English. The stuff not really, but it's ok. Also German beer.
Read morePros: Large menu , also offers different types of fake meat, Very cheap, but very good
Cons: Hard to make a decision what to eat ;)

Very Tasty - Edit
Having recently moved to Shanghai and the Xujiahui area this was a fantastic find. It's in a tech mall which is surprising, but on the top floor you'll find this place. The menu has descriptions in English. I've eaten here quite a few times now, my favourite things are the Tea Tree Mushrooms, Yu Mountain Style, which are delicious, almost like fries with tiny pieces of red & green pepper. Then the fired Taro fritters are outstanding coming with a nice little gravy. The crispy tofu skin rolls were great, as was the Golden Suncake which is like a vegan fried egg! I've had a few other things like the stir fried veggie beef steak with black pepper & the veggie chicken with ginger, I've not been disappointed yet, I'll be there again soon as it's 5 minutes from my home!
Read moreUpdate, we had a not great experience here earlier this year so avoided for a while but recently been back frequently as they are back on form. I realise our experience was likely a one off. The baby eggplant with Thai basil is delicious as are the sweet & sour yams. Staff are very friendly & yes it's an odd location but this is China, Western convention does not apply. For anyone travelling by metro, the station is Xujahui and you can actually gain access to the Buy Now mall via exits 4 & 5.

Nice - Edit
Small place on the fifth floor across from what looks like a sports bar, so it's not an upscale environment but it's still nice. Everything is vegan and without the Buddhist scallions, garlic, leeks, coriander, and rape. The food was pretty good. I liked the spicy cabbage, but they have many dishes with fake meat too.

Pretty nice food - Edit
The food is really nice, just a bit on the oily side like pretty much all other Chinese restaurants. One waiter told me they don’t use MSG when I asked.
