Right in the metro station DaPuQiao (for TianZiFang) - Edit

We followed the direction mentioned by one of the reviews below and found it without any problem. It is right at Exit one and turn left into the food court before the escalator to exit the metro station. We arrived at the weird hour of 4pm, no other guest and the staff was busy looking at their phones. We didn't like the some kind of award winning appetizer on the first page, the noodle soup was a bit plain but the dumplings were good. Price was ok too, around 100Y. Happy to have this place around just right next to a hot tourist spot.

Pros: near to TianZiFang, in the metro station

Cons: *

Great food in a not so great place - Edit

I have a thing against malls. They are perhaps the very last place I'd like to spend time. Now, this is a problem in Shanghai, because many of the good eateries are located in malls - and this is the very same for Super Vegan. That's a shame, because Super Vegan deserves a better location than a mall basement.

Super Vegan's staff, food and everything was great. All the classics from Han-China where on the menu, from dumplings to clay-pot-anything. Everything is vegan, so it's easy to pick and feel safe about it.

The price is more than fair. My girlfriend and I ended paying 150 for more than enough food AND drinks, which is very good for the neighbourhood this shop is in.

While it wasn't the defining eating experience of my lifetime, it was definately enjoyable and delicious and I recommend you go here - especially if you want to try many different kinds of chinese foods at the same time.

Pros: Big menu, Friendly staff

Cons: Location is boring, Malls suck

Staff totally put me off - Edit

The menu looked good, but after so long trying to find the restaurant the demeanor of the staff totally put me off. Every member of staff had their heads on the tables sleeping and it didn't fill me with confidence.

Brilliant! - Edit

Follow directions below and when in the food court turn left. English speaking staff and extremely friendly, and even showed me the way to another nearby vegan restaurant for dinner. Service is perfect. Gave me a free appetiser juice too! I ordered:
- skewers with prawn and beef
- crispy skin tofu roll
- Guangzhou fried Rice
- mango soy milkshake

Second visit:
- Tangerine braised beef
- Broccoli with crab and sweet potato
- strawberry soy milkshake

The Dapuqiau area really good for vegan food!

Pros: Extremely friendly staff, Picture menu is very appetising!, Very easy even if you don't speak the language

Cons: Tricky to find, so follow the directions carefully

Better than Before! - Edit

Super Vegan had previously been named Taiwan Brothers 7 vegan restaurant. They have remodeled and expanded their previous location in the basement of the DaPuQiao Mall (Level B2).

They now have more seating capacity. In addition, we think they have actually improved the taste of their food. It does not seem to be as oily as it was before.

The portion sizes are about the same as before; perhaps a bit on the small side. however, the price is consistent with other vegan restaurants in the area.

The day we were there they had an individual whose English was good. With a menu in both English and Chinese it is easy to order. They advertise no meat, dairy, eggs, etc. We confirmed this several times with the staff.

We're glad we decided to stop by and see how they were doing. We did not know they had upgraded their facility. While there, they also told us they are opening a location in Hangzhou. We'll have to get over there and check them out!

Pros: Price, moderate, English speaking staff/ bilingual menu, Location easy to get to from subway

Cons: location can be hard to find
