** Currently Empty - Moved to new Premises at Grainger Street ** - Edit

Super Natural has moved to new premises at Grainger Street (see separate listing for Super Natural Kitchen) - there are plans for the original site. To be updated

** Original Review ** Great to see this place back on the Newcastle veggie scene. In the same location it used to be back in the late 70s (not that I remember it then of course!) until it closed in the mid 2000's. A massive refresh has seen a beautiful new interior with cosy yet traditional seating arrangements. They serve the usual selection of hot drinks, milk shakes and smoothies. On the food front you are looking at sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and veggie / vegan burgers all in the £3.50 price range. The usual British veggie fayre. You can also create your own salad from various hot and cold items such as jalapenos, sweetcorn, olives etc. Good vegan choice and a friendly atmosphere make this a good place to visit. Vegan cakes will also be available, it has been promised!!

Pros: location, interior, food choice

Great selection! - Edit

Love this place - regularly go in for one of their salad boxes to go at the weekend. Huge range of salads to choose from and it's buffet style so can try a little bit of everything. Been served by the owner a couple of times and he is honestly so nice. I also picked up a slice of their red velvet cake once not expecting much as I don't usually like vegan sponge cake but it actually turned out to be the best sponge cake I've had since going vegan - must try if you are in. So moist!

Pros: good prices, wide range of choices, excellent salad bar!

Cons: only con is that sometimes I go round after work a

Loved this place! - Edit

Their menu is extensive. I believe everything is by default vegan (but maybe can be made lacto-ovo vegetarian?).

The food was so delicious. The atmosphere is casual, clean, and very enjoyable.

Their (vegan) cakes are AMAZING.

Highly recommend this place if you are in Newcastle.

P.s. - we struggled to find the place. Our map took us to the location, but we had to find the stairs to the level above where the restaurant was. Otherwise it looks like it should be under a bridge.

Pros: Extensive menu, Excellent food, Cakes!

Great food and relaxed atmosphere! - Edit

We remember Super Natural in its previous guise. Now has quirky decor and nice lounge area. Brilliant veggie and mostly vegan food. So nice to have such choice on a menu. Love the choice of salads and artisan breads to add to your meals. Fast becoming a favourite. Definitely recommend it.

Pros: Choice of vegan dishes, Relaxing atmosphere , Lovely helpful staff

Great Experience - Edit

Excellent to see another vegetarian restaurant open in Newcastle. Super Natural is located right in the centre of the town next to the vegan restaurant Painted Elephant just off Northumberland Street. Inside, Super Natural has a nice decor and there is a real calming atmosphere once you go in with welcoming staff. There is a good selection of cuisine including fish and chips, burgers, pasta, paninis and middle eastern falafels to name a few and you can make your own salads from the salad bar with a lovely selection of artisan breads also available. Perfect stop off also for a coffee and vegan cake. It would be great if it could also open on an evening, lets hope that happens soon.

Pros: Inexpensive, Excellent Staff and Food, Relaxing Atmosphere

Cons: Not open on an evening yet
