Great Possibilities for Vegan Groceries - Edit
When I first moved here 20 some years ago the only place I could stock my vegan pantry was 40 miles away. There are 4 large groceries stores in Hamilton but none were stocked and/or reasonably priced. Then it started to change. Super 1 Foods started to carry an assortment of well-priced vegan and vegetarian foods. Now they are building on and remodeling and adding to their stock. They have a great staff that listens to you and actually orders in foods they add to their shelves at your suggestion (within reason). Their organic produce section is great. Someday maybe their bakery will include vegan items but for now a great place to shop and no more 40 miles north! AND they are open 24/7 excluding some holidays! Since the original review Super 1 now features a large natural foods section including bulk items, organic bulk coffee, freezer and refrigerated section with vegan and vegetarian choices and much more...s'wonderful!
