Dive bar with amazing vegan food - Edit
Food was amazing. Had Korean BBQ chix sandwich and Buffalo wings with ranch sauce. They also have a great happy hour menu with drink specials.

We came here for vegan options. While I will say that we’re happy with the meals we ordered, we would’ve liked more options. It’s pretty much fried & spicy food. While I like junk food as the next person, I would’ve appreciated more options, and ones that didn’t cause my reflux to tear it’s ugly head. That said, the food was yummy and it was awesome to watch a movie while we chilled and had beers. Positive note: the bartender is on point and awesome!

Absolutely loved the crispy banana peppers and hot stuff baby burger. Also enjoyed the hot chicken sandwich (Korean bbq) but think I’ll ask for the sauce on the side next time because it was a lot. Fries were excellent.

Despite the friendly staff and a cool Austin vibe, the food was a big disappointment. The Brussels sprouts salad was quite flavorful but swimming in oil. Enjoyed the waffle fries, however, even though they were a bit salty.

Fun location! All outdoor seating so dress for the weather. Lots of incredible tastes. Loaded waffle fries…burgers, hot chicken sandwich. All good. Brussel sprout salad was just halved Brussels with lots of seasonings. Will try them again but hope the over salted/over seasoned was just a one-off.

I love Sunny's. Everything we've eaten from here has been delicious. This time, my husband got the chicken sandwich and waffle fries and I got the black garlic burger. The burger was a bit salty but I liked it that way. The waffle fries were perfect! Their banana peppers are also fantastic, however they ran out of those this time so we weren't able to get them. A great place to check out especially when the weather is nice.

I was a bit skeptical to eat here at first due to the dive atmosphere inside. But once we got comfortable in the spacious backyard and looked at the menu we settled in for a fantastic meal! I asked to have the Spare Rib wrap on a plate, minus the wrap, and they were very accommodating. It was tasty and delicious. Spiced just right. Not too much sauces. Perfect rice

We are both very picky eaters but we agreed We’ll definitely be back there soon. We urged the owners to open a truck in South austin where it would be well received!

I came across this spot on IG so my husband & I decided to try it out on our next trip to Austin. Let me tell y’all, the food was AMAZING! I love the vibe, the bartender was super nice & helpful. Even my NON-VEGAN husband was impressed with the prime rib and he was in love with pretzel. From my boozy hot chocolate, to my Chick’n sandwich to the OUTSTANDING loaded fries…everything was delicious!

Tasty vegan comfort food—lots of fried, filling, heavy options. Really good for when you’re looking for that, but I can’t eat here often. The drinks are good but on the pricier side for what they are.

Went here to meet some friends and it seemed like a cool place. We’ll after settling in I was pleasantly surprised. The vibe is super cool. The bar and bartender were spot on but the food….. WOW. The spare rib taco was ridiculous!! The flavor was superb!! I had the fried banana peppers and wow were they good. A meat eating friend met us there and had a burger and said it was one of the best burgers he had. Unfortunately I have since went back home but I’ve eaten at so many great vegan places. This is one of them.

What an excellent find! The staff is super friendly and they have an excellent backyard (as the name implies). Frozen drinks, beer, and other cocktails along with some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had that I didn’t cook! Excellent little east side gem. Get there early to find parking.

We tried their bulgogi tacos, ribs wrap, and fried banana peppers. They were all delicious! The “meats” were so flavorful and had realistic textures. Knocked off a star because the rice in the wrap was very mushy, hope the’ll fix that since they’ve just opened. They’re serving from a food truck on premise and the inside bar isn’t opened yet.
