Relaxed and chill place with tasty Thai food! 👌 - Edit
Have been eating here since Uni ! I think it changed owners, I miss the older menu as there was more variety but other than that this place has remained a chill and cozy place to enjoy some great Vegan Thai food! Admittedly, some meals can be hit or miss but overall, I’ll always love sunflower for giving me a consistent and yummy place to eat out whilst at Uni (along with Revive!) and when the food is good, it’s really good!! Love the spicy chicken (definitely one of , if not their Best dish!! It’s so good) and their cashew chicken! There’s also a basil tofu dish too (I think that’s what it’s called?)that’s also really nice! I’ve also heard great things about the duck stir fry! Gotta try that!!
Read moreI noticed that they recently changed up their decor too, a bit? It’s still very casual but has a warmer and cozier, wholesome vibe that I really love!! 🥰

Average At Best - Edit
Ho-hum, pretty crappy Pad Thai flavoured primarily with oil and sugar; negligible vegies (literally a few shreds of grated carrot and a couple of sprouts) with a few pieces of tofu. Basically a bowl of fried rice noodles (in lots of oil) flavoured with sugar, asked for extra spicy and it tasted like no chili whatsoever.

Pros: Lunch specials - cans of drink only $2
Cons: Very average food, would not bother returning

Oodles of choices at a great price - Edit
Love the no onion feature as I can’t have any and it makes eating good food even harder!! I have a weak spot for good dumplings and love them. Prices are fair and much lower than elsewhere. Hard to find soups/curries without onions too so great place for trying new things! Would recommended for sure.

Huge menu, great flavors - Edit
This place is tucked away and very relaxed inside, a very different vibe than everything else in the area. The staff were so sweet and helpful. Tom kha soup is hard to find veganized and they nailed it, though I wish I had gotten it with tofu instead of the vegan chickn which was a little mushy. The papaya salad was crisp and refreshing, and I had plenty extra to take home for lunch. Great spot, would love to try their desserts and full menu.

Cons: Fluorescent lighting , Mushy chickn, Table water wasn’t cold

The food is okay.. The menu is huge. Khu Khu has better Thai food, but much less options. This is a nice place to order from because there is so much choice

Could have been better - Edit
The breaded mock-chicken dish was pretty tasty but everything else didn't taste right. I can't really give the place a recommendation. Pat Thai and Tom Ka soup needs to taste a certain way, and it just didn't.

Pros: Personal very friendly-Personal sehr freundlich , Big selection/Große Auswahl, Close to inner-city/Nah am Zentrum

Favourite Vegan Restaurant in Auckland - Edit
Love this place. Super casual restaurant with excellent food. Currys taste just like the ones in Thailand. Nice high carb meals, the food isn’t too greasy so you don’t feel sluggish afterwards. Have eaten here a couple times and rate it every time.
