Sunflower Cafe

My boyfriend and I were traveling from NOLA to FL and happened upon this great little spot. I had a decent vegan Reuben and my non-veg boyfriend had the lemon grass stirfry. We both enjoyed our meals and loved the health store next door. Everyone was also super friendly and helpful.

Found this place by accident... It was a rainy week in Gulf Shores, so decided to wander over to Fairhope. My GF noticed that there was a veg friendly place and pointed it out. After we perused the retail section of fairhope we decided to stop in. Turns out the exectutive chef was the host/server. They have an outstanding vegan Reuben sandwich... which I hadn't had in years since I went veg. And she got a tofu marsala, simply great. Next day, stopped by when leaving area for lunch. I had a Mediterranean veggie wrap, she had Caribbean Jerk tofu wrap. Outstanding. They also have a homemade foccacia bread that is simply amazing.

In town for a wedding. Found this great place. We had the Thai Wrap and Chipolte Black Bean Burrito (they smoke their own jalapenos for the chipolte - that's cool!). Both really good. Staff were very accommodating, upfront and forthcoming with ingredients and prep of each menu item. I stopped in at 4 (closing time according to their sign) to see if they had anything ready that I could grab to eat later and they told me they were open until 10 on Thursdays (Yeh!-I was hungry). I would give them 5 cows if HappyCow would let me (apparently you can only give them 4 if their not all vegan. Plus it's right next to a cool health food store!
