I had the sunflower cali sandwich and it was YUMMY, and a ginger berry kombucha smoothie. I had to try the mint chocolate and cookies and cream cupcakes and they were fantastic! Great open atmospheres and friendly staff.

'Top Rated' for a reason - Edit
We had the pot pie with Caesar kale salad, both were excellent.
Read moreThe crust on the pot pie was exceptional and while a little more cream sauce would be nice, it was packed with perfectly cooked veggies 🥰add that the seasonings were noticeable but not overpowering it was a joy to experience such a humble dish done well.
The Caesar kale salad accompanied well, and given I'm not a caesar dressing or caper fan I appreciate being able to have the dressing on the side.
The cupcakes were tasty if a bit sweet we got Carrot and Lemon curd. I would say the lemon could use more punch and the carrot was more of a spice cake. If I review the carrot as a spice cake I would call it exceptional, but in the realm of carrot cakes it was missing some key elements.
Pros: Ease of online ordering 'to go', Quality of all food was exceptional, Being able to order sauce on the side
Cons: Parking lot/spots are tight for a 1/2 ton truck

It is super challenging to find a vegan AND gluten free restaurant for me so when I discovered this place I was enchanted. I bought the cali sandwich and it was delicious, their cookies, and salads, everything was super tasty.

I love Sunflower bakehouse and cafe for lunch and sweet treats! While living in Nashville, I have trusted Sunflower bakehouse for all celebratory and birthday treats- for me as a vegan and for my gluten free friends. They always have a variety of flavors of cupcakes and cookies and baked goods. I’ve had delcicious coffee and lunches here and the staff are so friendly.

My new favorite place - Edit
Being Vegan and having a gluten allergy makes dining out and getting pre-made baked goods a challenge. Now that I found this place we stop and grab a meal and stock up on the most amazing GF baked goods. Non-vegan, Non-GF family and friends are amazed with the bakery items

Delicious sandwiches and baked goods - Edit
I visited for dinner, and had the TBLT. I super sized it with the avocado and smoked Gouda. It was delicious. I also ordered two apple cinnamon scones to go. They, too, were delicious. The sandwich was so good, that while there I ordered one of the banh mis to go for lunch the next day. Highly recommended!

Unexpected Vegan Heaven - Edit
This place was a complete surprise find, but what a little gem! The food is absolutely terrific, and I have never seen such a spread of vegan and GF baked goods in any other location. This is the sister site for Sunflower Cafe in Nashville. They have a superbly curated menu with loads of options, agave soda, and much more. Their cookies and cupcakes are fantastic, not overly sweet but still delicious. Lemon curd and carrot were my favourite. The place is immaculately clean, they have efficient service, and a bright airy and simply wonderful casual dining atmosphere. Several people came in whole time we were there, and a few were working, studying, etc. It's like Panera meets Starbucks, but with clean menu and 100% vegan. See pictures for details. Highly recommended.

Amazing! - Edit
Love this gem of a spot! Delicious sandwiches, salads, and smoothies as well as an overwhelming selection of baked goods. They’re close to the airport, and the build your own breakfast sandwich was the perfect thing after an early flight. Options include vegan egg, tofu bacon or sausage, vegan cheese, and a selection of veggies. It might be the best I’ve had and OMG the GF biscuit!

Holy grail for gf vegans - Edit
Love this place so much! I always struggle to find gf vegan food but this place is amazing! They have the best gf muffin I have ever had and I always am amazed at how they get them so good! Gluten free things usually taste dry, gritty, or really dense but everything here is nearly impossible to tell it’s gluten free. I have yet to have something from there that I didn’t like! Will always return here anytime I’m anywhere near nashville!

Food**
We were torn here as the food was very inventive and looked very appealing but when we got it it felt like it came out of box. We got the tomato bisque soup, and the marinated tofu sandwich and added Gouda and guacamole. The sandwich was very small - both soup and sandwich were extremely salty, like you could feel your blood pressure rising. The $4 extra for Gouda and avocado was not worth it. It’s like one piece of American looking cheese and a slop of avocado mush. Also got the Buffalo Chicken salad, which was mediocre. It wasn’t horrible but not great either. Everything was just too salty. We also got a triple berry smoothie, which didn’t taste that great and I can’t put my finger on why it didn’t but it didn’t.
Atmosphere**
The tables were not that clean and the atmosphere not the nicest to be honest.
Service***
Service was fine and they were very friendly.

I asked them to suggest something if I were never able to come back. They suggested the BBQ sandwich, which was amazing! There were many more options, but I was only visiting Nashville for one evening. I also had an amazing chocolate cupcake for dessert. #Veganuary

Amazing!! - Edit
I recently found out I am celiac and was so excited to stumble across this place when visiting. I got the GF biscuit sandwich with egg, my husband got the biscuits and gravy, and we both got chai lattes that were delicious. Every single thing we ordered was delicious and I was so excited to have a wide variety of options! Not to mention (when I went) ALL of their baked goods were GF, so we picked up some treats for the road. Nashville is lucky to have this gem!

So Many Options!!! - Edit
I have a new favorite vegan restaurant in Nashville! The staff was so helpful and kind when I clearly was overloaded with choices and couldn't decide what to order. They are also very knowledgable regarding which menu items are gluten and/or soy free. That have a wonderful variety of baked goods as well as breakfast foods, salads, and sandwiches. The decor and general design of the place is delightful. The building used to be a muffler shop, and now it is a cute vegan bakery.

Love that it's GF too! - Edit
It's so hard to find vegan restaurants that are also gluten free too. So when my husband and I went here, we stocked up! We did dine in for breakfast and ordered dinner and dessert too go. I got the omelet bake which was phenomenal and my hubs got Biscuits and Gravy and a breakfast sandwich. It was all really good so we got food to go. Regina was also great because I emailed her about corn allergies and she got back to me with all the information I needed. I would go here again if we lived in the area.
