Flavourful, friendly - Edit
We went to Xinshan Tao Tao as they offer both vegetarian for me and meat dishes for my partner. By this point I was heartily sick of Taiwan’s ubiquitous salty mushroom broth, so I was happy that the aboriginal food was well spiced, hot, and filling.
Read moreWe had a set menu for 2-3 people which was too much food in the end: the manager kindly swapped out a mushroom dish for a bamboo dish for us. Tofu hot plate, bamboo soup, stir-fried fern, plus two meat dishes for my partner.
Pros: Good flavours, Accommodating staff, Dragonfruit juice to drink
Cons: Ordering drinks was a little confusing
