The best restaurant in Glasgow, vegan or otherwise! - Edit
I’m not vegan but my husband is and this is by far our favourite place in Glasgow. The staff are amazing. The food is incredible. It’s such a cute venue and an amazing atmosphere. I dream of the curry laksa constantly. We have made it a bit of a family tradition to go here on Christmas Eve for the amazing salt and chilli Brussel sprouts (I look forward to them all year!) even if you’re not a vegan, do yourself a favour and run, don’t walk, to Suissi

Worth the trip to Partick - Edit
First time here after years of wanting to go. Didn’t disappoint. Tofu parcels, Singapore noodles, banana pancake. All amazing. Staff were super nice too. The Thai green curry blew my pal’s head off, so make sure read the menu to make sure of spice level.

It's been a while since I last visited Suissi, and even though it was busy, they kindly found me a table. This place is one of the top ten restaurants on HappyCow, and it's clear why. The staff is friendly, and the food is amazing—it might be called comfort food, and it definitely made me happy!
Read moreI started with the stuffed tofu, which was fantastic and something I haven't seen in ages. When I asked for a recommendation, they suggested the curry laksa ramen. It was incredible, with a rich, earthy flavor and two types of tofu. It wasn't spicy at first, but the heat kicked in nicely after a few minutes.
I've had a lot of ramen lately, and this one stands out as the best I've had this year. If you're ever in Glasgow or Edinburgh, you’ve got to check out Suissi.
Great again
Stil got it

Incredible food and cocktails - Edit
This was quite a bit out from our hotel, but the reviews were so good we had to try it, and we were glad we did! The food was amazing, tofu parcels and spring rolls to start then salt and pepper chips (some of the best I’ve ever had), oyster mushroom in a gorgeous sauce, salt and pepper tofu and pak choi with no room for dessert so we had a cocktail instead which were modern twists on classics. Fantastic service and lovely diverse vibe about the place. Highly recommended

Delicious food - Edit
I had the Acar and the Curry Laksa with ramen and it tasted like heaven. It was (for me) just the right amount of heat, the Acar was something totally new to me and everything was so rich in flavours. The noodles had the perfect texture. The staff was very friendly and we didn’t have to wait a long time for the food. I would recommend booking a table in advance.

Pan Asian! - Edit
The only thing worse than there not being enough vegan options on a menu is when you can have literally anything snd don't know what to choose. I very rarely order curry but I wanted lion's mane something so went for the rendang, with rice & a side of kale. Absolutely delicious and the curry wasn't overly saucy and drowning all other ingredients, which is usually what I find off putting about curries generally. I didn't have time for dessert but I did have a couple of lychee cosmos with dinner and they were gorg, too. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but it was busy inside and had a nice atmosphere. I booked ahead and don't think I'd have been seated in time before my evening plans otherwise.

Fantastic! - Edit
Not the ordinary Asian cuisine you can get almost everywhere. This place has dishes with a very special taste, really recommandable! But better book a table in advance. As they were already run out of tables today we had to order for takeaway and eat in the car 😅 Friendly staff, very dog-friendly, just go there!

Top nosh! - Edit
Found it really difficult to decide what to order here because all the menu looks pretty enticing! I went for the vegan hot and sour soup to start which was so tasty! I got laksa for a main which tasted really authentic and a side of salt and chilli chips which hit the spot! Tried a scoop of vanilla, and honey dew melon ice cream for dessert; wasn't a fan of the honey dew melon scoop. Very friendly staff and atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. Would definitely recommend.

The best vegan food in Glasgow - Edit
I was discussing Suissi with a friend recently and he remarked that no matter how busy the restaurant is (and it can be really busy) you are always made to feel that you are really special. The staff are a delight and so is the food. The menu is extensive and I think I have tried every item on it and have never been disappointed. The laksa is sublime.

Food here is absolutely delicious. Brilliant and unique flavors. The satay sauce is probably the best I’ve had. Came out incredibly quickly. Environment is warm and welcoming, the wait staff are some of the friendliest we have ever met. Going out of their way to help us throughout the meal and then find a cab afterward!

Best restaurant in Glasgow - Edit
My new favourite restaurant in Glasgow. Delicious, authentic food. The waiting staff are very friendly. The tempeh bao bun was absolutely lovely. Service is very, very quick- the fastest service I’ve ever had in fact. I was served my entire order genuinely within about 5 minutes.
Read moreI ordered the lotus root and pickled black bean for a starter and the Szechuan tofu and rainbow rice as a main. They were both delicious.
The chrysanthemum and goji berry tea was so sweet. I appreciate how they don’t use a tea bag, but actual flowers and berries so you get the whole flavour.
The jackfruit fritters and ice cream were absolutely divine- the jackfruit tasted fresh. Even the garnish was excellent.
The only downside is that the 10p takeaway box which I got for the Szechuan tofu disintegrated while being transported in my car, but I appreciate the eco-friendly option of a cardboard box instead of plastic takeaway tubs. If you have a smaller appetite I would recommend bringing your own container.
Pros: Very fast service , Delicious food , High quality tea
Cons: Takeaway box disintegrates with liquids
