Serves meat, vegan options available. Süß & Salzig is a little restaurant in Leipzig Plagwitz/Lindenau run by a couple. The menu consists of flammkuchen (tarte flambé), variations of burgers, and casserole - could request for vegan. On Sunday there is vegan-friendly brunch. Delicios food in a cozy place - Edit

The vegan casserole (vegan option or "build your own") is amazing - just like the salad with seitan or the chocolate pie. The place is set up nicely and quite cozy - a good place to go either with friends or family!

Pros: Good vegan options, Good portion sizes, Bring your own container for take away

Brunch/Breakfast a reservation is necessary - Edit

We spontanously decided coming to this place to have brunch for our friend’s birthday. When we arrived stuff let us known that a reservation is necessary and no seats are available. We couldn’t call before due to this place opened first at 10am and just went there. This little restaurant atmosphere is nice though, many vegan options and we’ll give a try another time when we’re in Leipzig (with a reservation)

Nice place, but... - Edit

In principle it's a nice place and offers some veggie and vegan options.
However, staff could be better... Once ordered a veggie burger and was delivered a chicken burger. Vegan burger included non-vegan mayo...
Was the last time I've been there. Might have been only the fault of an overchallenged waiter, though...
A pity, because the place has a nice atmosphere and would be a good venue to go to with non-veggie friends.

Pros: nice atmosphere

Cons: staff is unable to cope with orders

home made spreads for Sunday brunch - Edit

At Sundays the Süß & Salzig offers a buffet brunch at a very nice price. Home made creative spreads, ranging from olive paste, tomato butter to veggie "Mett" are all very well made and tasty. Sweet options are available as well. Almost all spreads and offers are vegan or vegetarian. Home made bread is worth to try. Along with a large black coffee a very nice way to start a relaxing Sun-day in the neighborhood of Plagwitz/Lindenau.

Pros: nice food, good selection of decent background music

Cons: booking recommended
