Good food - Edit
The food is really good and cheap. But portions are quite small so I recommend to take 2 dishes at once. A lot of vegan options. Tomato salad is really good and Shan noodles as well

Delicious food, very friendly service - Edit
Their food is so delicious and the vegan selection so big that I went there three times to try as many dishes as possible. Some of the dishes are from the Mon and Shan region, like the sweet-spicy Mon vegetable soup and the Shan noodles. I particularly enjoyed the Shan mustard leaves soup and the tomato salad in Myanmar style.

Best place for a vegan in Mawlamyine - Edit
They have many many vegan(izable) options here. Friendly staff members will be kind to point out which dishes are vegan. I particularly enjoyed the Shan noodles and Burmese salad.
Read moreIt is kind of hidden and it won’t be immediately obvious that they serve food when you enter the premises (located in a family run Guesthouse). They’ll set up makeshift tables for you. Don’t be fooled by this because they serve great food!
Pros: Cheap, Good , Many options
Cons: Slightly oily

Best place to eat in Mawlamyine - Edit
We ate here for almost every meal during our stay in Mawlaymyine. The place is behind the entrance to a hotel and run by a family who’s mum/wife is Sue and cooks the delicious food. They pull out tables for you to sit outside the kitchen and can amend any menu items as necessary as everything is cooked to order. Just ask for “thatallo” meaning no living things. Really recommend the veg Shan noodles, the pickled tea leaf salad and the potato paprika. Such delicious food and SO cheap. A must visit.
