A social centre and vegan community cafe run by volunteers. Acts as a meeting place and hosts events. Offers tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cake, toasties, curries. Confirmed closed, May 2015. Open Wed-Thu 6:00pm-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 12:00pm-11:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-3:00pm.

Great little cafe and social centre - Edit
I have volunteered at Subrosa a few times and I've also eaten the food. It's a shame that the social centre is so far out from where most veggie places in Manchester or else I would go there often. Simple but very tasty food at very cheap prices and all the volunteers I have met have been lovely and welcoming.
Pros: Cheap food, Mostly cooked from scratch, Friendly volunteers
Cons: Inconvenient location

This small cafe which is part of a collective offers affordable drinks, snacks and meals in a down to earth setting.
The food is good and honest. Be sure to put a meal on the wall if you can afford to :-)
