Offerings include Chinese specialties of various styles, dishes that highlight just one or two vegetables, lavish desserts, mock meats, and a few western style items such as pizza. Teas, plant milks, juices, and beers available. Reported closed May 2025.

Exquisite simplicity

The dishes we had here were a fabulous example of how great cooking brings out the best in food with just a few ingredients. The eggplant and basil dish was especially magnificent. The seasoned, crispy-fried tofu, served in a "birds nest", melted in the mouth.
There were some very fancy-looking dishes on the menu in the upper price range, which seemed to be traditional Chinese special occasion type things, but even the food at the lower end of the price scale was amazing and of more than ample size. The menu also includes desserts, a range of juices and vegan milks, and - if deciding from among the many, many pages is all too much, there are also gourmet pizzas.
The decor was similarly elegant, presumably Buddhist-inspired. Quiet and tasteful.
The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and willing to help out with phone-based translation when required. But the (extensive!) menu is also foreigner-friendly, with English text and photographs.
Despite being of upmarket style (in both food and decor), the prices were very reasonable, with prices for a main dish ranging from 48 yuan to around 125. German beers were also reasonably priced and good quality.

Cons: Relatively expensive, but excellent value
