El local se encuentra alejando de la zona central pero en una zona bastante concurrida y con más locales de comida alrededor. El sitio es estrecho con 4 mesas grandes pero se siente muy acogedor y está limpio.

Tasty cozy and cheap food. There is an English copy of the menu, which we pointed to. The lady did not speak English, and between pointing and miming, we ended up with an amazing spread. Was around $15 NZD for 6 dishes.

Went to this place a few times as it was luckily near our hotel. You can scan the QR at the table to help with translation or just take a lucky dip from the picture menu if you dont speak Chinese - everything we tried was great! The dry mixed dumplings were a standout for me but all the noodles were also fantastic.

Beware of over ordering, we found the smallest noodle size to be a lot!

Really nice vegan restaurant in a central part of Chengdu. The food is super reasonable and super cheap. Definitely give it a go if you’re wanting to try the local foods. We order 4 dishes as we wanted to try lots of different things, 4 dishes was enough (and we’re BIG eaters). I wasn’t a huge fan but my girlfriend really enjoyed it. Definitely get some of the noodles from the top row on the menu. We met a very friendly women here called Betty and she showed us around after our meal and there are loads of vegan/veggie restaurants around the area.

No English so pointing at the menu was our best method, put full faith in the lovely lady working to choose our food and was very happy to do so. Tried the sweet water noodles which were great, and had the dumplings and noodle dish with the sesame-esque sauce amd wow they were soooo good. Portions was huge and meal came to less than £4 for two of us. Friendly despite language barrier. They don't serve drinks here btw ( as far as we could work out haha)

I visited 2 times and it was worth the price. Note that spicy means REALLY spicy and no spicy is actually 0 spice which for me was okay - I like more plain food, but for some people might be tasteless.

We ordered four dishes with the help of another english speaking customer. The proprietor doesnt speak english but we talked a little with her thru google translate. The dan dan noodles and dumplings in sichuan chili sauce were exceptional (we requested medium spicy and it was perfect for us). The corn soup and the noodle dish in a brown gravy were quite delicious too. We ordered the last two on the advice of our translator who said they are very traditional sichuan dishes. We asked for extra veggies, and they were happy to accommodate us. You can point to pictures on one menu, and the second menu shows the prices based on size. Their small portions are quite ample and with four dishes we had enough for three people. Total cost ¥31.

The minute you step into this place you're greeted with a lovely smiling woman with such a chill vibe. We had to use translate but she cooked me two really nice meals that I picked out. Very affordable and delicious food.

Lovely, extremely friendly staff. Exceptionally nice food. I had to ask a few times because I thought I had heard wrong when we only had to pay 52RMB for 5 dishes. They say the dishes are small, but it’s still way too much for 2 people. Everything was delicious. The sesame balls for desert were stunning. We had started eating when I remembered to take photos. Also not pictured, the jiaozi, which were great, too. Highly recommended!

Read moreThe dishes come in 3 sizes and the smallest isn’t a small portion, it’s a normal one.
It’s really cheap and delicious, and you’ll get that numbing experience from the Dan Dan noodles. The spicy Dan Dan noodles and the spicy wonton soup are so yummy but the non spicy version of the Dan Dan noodle is tasty as well if you can’t handle the other one.

When dining at Su Shan Mian there were locals who could speak English. They advised us along with help communicate with the chef (speaks only Sichuanese) that this is a renown vegan spot in Chengdu. Despite its notoriety, it is incredibly cheap.
