Really does need improvement.

So we had a family booking here for the first time. The interior of the bar is perfect, selection of drinks is more than adequate, but the vegan food options were very disappointing. On this particular day they couldn’t make the Falafel option so only pizza was available. The pizza was the same price as a veggie one. The vegan one was the same but without any cheese. That really is a cop out. It’s just like they really don’t care. There are plenty of vegan cheeses available that can do the job. Obviously catering for the satisfaction of vegans really isn’t on their radar. Very disappointed, won’t be rushing back.

Pros: Drink selection , Interior , Staff

Cons: Disappointing vegan options , Disappointing vegan food, Seemed like a token gesture of options

Nice pizza

I had the Plant Power pizza £11.75 -Tomato sauce base, caramelised red onion, spinach, artichokes, confit tomato & cashew cream. Topped with basil.
The pizza was pretty good. No cheese alternative for the topping which I didn't mind as I can find them a bit sickly.
A nice place to sit and ideal venue to catch up with old friends.

Disappointing

I chose the burger, without the bun and with salad instead. The burger was dry, crumbly, and a bit tasteless. There was no sauce - nothing to replace the BBQ sauce that comes with the veggie option and is probably what gives it flavour. It had some sort of onion/pickle on it but that surprisingly didn’t add much taste to it. The salad had nice leaves, and some tomato, but there didn’t appear to be any dressing of note, or any other salad items that would have made it more interesting - red onion, olives, avocado etc. The chips were ok, nothing amazing. Very disappointing overall and not worth £9.50. It came across to me that the brewery have put a couple of vegan items on their menu so they demonstrate options, but haven’t put any effort in to making options that are actually decent.
