AMAZING. - Edit
Wow. Went to Strange Town for the first time today and absolutely loved it. I made a reservation because I heard it gets busy on weekends and sure enough, it was busy when we got there. It is in a great location, although parking can be a bit tough so keep that in mind. My friend and I each got a drink (I had the special spiced cider which was delicious). We order the mushroom tartine and the aloo gobhi chaat to share and both of the dishes were so good! Perfectly seasoned and easy to share. We also ordered dessert. My friend had the golden milk crème brulee and I had the bread pudding. The bread pudding was ok, but my friend really enjoyed her crème brulee. Our waitress Claire was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable about all of the dishes (we asked a lot of questions). Both my friend and I were super impressed by Strange Town and plan to go again!
Pros: Creative dishes, Friendly staff, Dishes are easy to share
Cons: Limited parking

You MUST go to Strange Town - Edit
If you’re in Milwaukee, Strange Town is a MUST to visit. Awesome all vegan restaurant and bar with flavorful small plates, great tunes (blues, afrobeat, soul) and an outstanding wine and beer selection. My favorites were the pizza and mushroom tartine with cashew ricotta. Also while my husband and I visited in December 2017, one of the owners offered us an off-menu chai caramel dessert that was INCREDIBLE. Ask if it’s available when you go!
Pros: Best homemade cashew cheese, Romantic ambience, Great variety of small and large plates
Cons: Small space, Drafty in winter

Great atmosphere - Edit
I love this place. The food is mostly small plates, but it’s very very tasty. The staff has been exceptionally friendly & knowledgeable every time I’ve been. The happy hour specials are good. It gets busy on the weekends, so be sure to make a reservation. I’d suggest going on a weekday, as it seems fairly slow. They play great music from their vinyl record collection.
Pros: delicious , good music, good atmosphere
