Gezellige strandtent waar je tijdens het wachten een spelletje kunt spelen uit de spellen kast, al hoefden we niet lang te wachten de service was erg snel!

Fijne plek om met kinderen te zijn. Zij speelden met de blokjes en kaarten voordat het eten kwam.

Ik at een fijne veganistische mosterdsoep en we deelden met elkaar vegan bitterballen. Ik had de taart nog in mijn hoofd maar ik was verzadigd.
De plek gaat, na 8 jaar, dicht. (Na de herfstvakantie van 2025)

Op een drukke zondagmiddag hier neergestreken voor de lunch. Helaas erg lang gewacht tot we eten konden bestellen (drinken ging vlot). De club sandwich (vegan)viel helaas tegen: veel ingelegd zuur (komkommer?) die teveel overheerst, de smaak van de (waterige) guacamole en humus viel daardoor weg . De vegan burger was prima.

Best option on Ameland - Edit
Went here because it has by far one of the best vegan options on the menu in Ameland. Was not disappointed. Had an absolutely delicious mustard soup, loaded fries and a vegan cake. Enjoyed it fully and happily.

My partner had the loaded fries with seitan, which he found very good. Had an Indonesian twist

Had coffee with oat milk, a vegan burger and vegan loaded fries. All very nice and good combinations of flavours, showing that the vegan items on the menu are not just an afterthought.

I had the vegan burger, which was served with sweet potato fries. additional to the really good burger, the sea view gave a wonderful ambience. Besides the burger, there are other vegan treats. So it's worth checking out!

De titel zegt het eigenlijk al. Je zit direct aan het strand en veel vegan opties, zeker voor Amelandse begrippen. Ik heb de mosterdsoep gehad (m’n fave), de avocado burger, bitterballen, en de tosti. Smaakte me allemaal zeer goed. Ze hebben ook nog een vegan dessert, maar heb ik zelf niet gehad.

Fine place with Veggy & Vegan options on the menu. - Edit
Since Ameland is not an island where you have many veggy and vegan restaurant options you'll be likely to end up for a meal here. And that 's not at all a bad thing: The staff is friendly, kind and helpful. The terras and restaurant has a nice overview over the beach and sea. Its cosy. And when interested in (board-)games they have a cupboard filled with them inside.

Their sandwich vegetable 'kroket' is indeed a veggy option, but doesn't have a veggy marker.
The sandwich salmon is said to be veggy? (All is possible these days, but I havent asked.) Might be not. So as an owner and a visitor, do get informed about your options before placing an order. As said the staff is helpful enough.

We had the mustard soup (veggy) and the vegan 'bitterballen' and found them much to our liking. But they had some healthier vegan options where I remain curious about. (short stay)
It is definitely a valuable and pleasant addition to the few veggy/ vegan options the island offers.
I would go back here and do recommend Strandpaviljoen Ballum.
Pros: Menu contains several fine vegan and veggy options, kind staff, cosy interior, nice surrounding, cupboard filled with (board)games
Cons: The menu could be more clear
