Best vegan bowl ever! - Edit
We have been vegan for over 6 years and we just enjoyed the best vegan bowl we’ve ever had. Seriously great! The Little Buddha bowl is just to die for!! It was a little tough to get a seat - now we know why. If we could select 5 stars, we would.

Not as vegan-friendly as before - Edit
Not many people make a destination of Traralgon, but I come here regularly to visit a friend and typically that’s meant lunch at SSO. There was always a handful of vegan options, including vegan pancakes, the original reason we came here. Alas the pancakes are no more. Did people stop liking them? The last two times I’ve been here I’ve found the menu lacklustre, with the only standard vegan item being a variation of the Buddha bowl. Other than that there is a VGO for the zucchini and corn fritters, which I’ve had a couple of times and they are quite good, but options feel limited. Staff are lovely and will tell you they’re happy to make several dishes vegan - I’ve had reasonable veganised versions of the burrito and the smashed avo - but it’s hard to do this without feeling a bit ripped off with omissions and inferior substitutions. This is probably still Traralgon’s top brunch cafe, but I find it not quite what it used to be.

The zucchini and corn fritters are probably the best but the other things I mentioned are fine too, depending on your taste. Staff seemed willing to discuss veganising other things with but be aware of the extra cost of some additions.

Great stop along the Princes Highway - Edit
Plenty of vegan options, both sweet and savoury. Food is beautifully presented, staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the vegan menu items.

Formally known as Onyx this Cafe has changed owners and breathed new life into the business. Some old favourites mixed with some new dishes to tempt.
