Tasty food with options for all - Edit
Stoof have a good amount of vegan options for both lunch and dinner. My partner and I really enjoyed the food and the service was very helpful and friendly too. The portions are on the smallish side for the price but I suppose that is to be expected at a restaurant in the centre by the waterside. Would recommend.

Really good and tasty stews - Edit
There are 4 vegetarian/vegan stews on the menu atm. We had all in some kind of a tasting. It feels like the chef has made some effort to create some special dishes not only substitute meat with some veggies. They even bring us a vegan brownie with our coffee instead of a non vegan cookie.

Good Stew - Edit
The stews were amazing, but the best thing was the really attentive staff. We went for the tasting and every stew was closely described to us, our waitress noticed our table wiggling and immediate fixed it, got my brother some lemonade even though there was none on the menu and was overall very kind. Would recommend.

The HappyCow system is kindof broken in that mediocre vegan places can get five stars but a place like Stoof can "only" get four. The staff was super friendly and took care of a fully vegan tasting menu (4 stews with all vegan side dishes). One of the best restaurants we have been in Friesland, absolutely worth a visit.

Cosy place in Sneek - Edit
Offers a tasting of various stews, including some that are not on the menu, with various side dishes. I found that the European-style stews were a bit better than the Asian or Middle-Eastern ones. The vegan boeuf bourgignon was delicious. Staff knows very well what’s vegan and is thoughtful to not bring non-vegan side dishes to your table (they were surprised about us double-checking actually 🙂)

Super lekker gegeten, vrolijke en vriendelijke bediening en heel schappelijke prijs voor ruimte porties. Veganistisch in combinatie met een notenallergie was geen enkel probleem, de eigenaar kent de kaart goed en weet precies wat wel of niet kan en let hierop in de bediening.

Affortable concept. Over all satisfied. Compote was way to sweet. Products are not dayfresh but made in advance. They serve vegan mayo and take good care of vegans. We where the only costumers and thenace next to theirs was crowded. Choice of backgroundmusic was very good.

Wat een toprestaurant! Er waren tig vegan opties en ze spelen met een erg leuk concept; namelijk de "proeverij. Je ontvangt dan 5 verschillende gerechten uit variërende werelddelen. Ernaast krijg je nog heldere uitleg over alles en nog wat, overzichtelijkheid alom dus. Ik vond het heel cool en mijn gehemelte heeft ook enorm genoten. De bediening was ook goed, allemaal super aardig

Favorite restaurant in Sneek - Edit
The food served here is perfect for all! We went for a stew tasting menu with only vegan options. We got 5 fully vegan stews. Not all stews were on the menu so it was a great way to test the creativity of the kitchen.
Read moreOther than plant based eaters, we also had someone in our group who can not handle very greasy food and the kitchen/staff handled this request perfectly. They made 4 out of 5 options without oil/cream.
One of the dessert options is vegan.
Besides the vegan part of the menu: they use organic food when possible
All in all, definitely my favorite restaurant in Sneek. Will be coming back!

Super leuk restaurant. Leuke bediening en diverse eetkeuzes voor iedereen. Ze zijn bewust bezig met de kwaliteit van de producten die ze op tafel zetten. Ze gebruiken voornamelijk biologische producten en houden hun oog op dierenwelzijn als ze dierlijke producten gebruiken. We hebben met de tafel de stoofproeverij gedeeld, eten was allemaal erg lekker. We hadden vega en vegan besteld. Alle stoofjes waren heerlijk en er is ook met speciale dieet wensen naast het vegan zijn goed rekening gehouden. We zijn om deze reden ook al vaker bij stoof geweest. Wat over was ook in een doggy bag mee naar huis gekregen, al met al top!

Het veganistisch menu komt niet overeen met de website. Minder keuze op de kaart. Heerlijke stoof goulash gegeten, geserveerd met frites. Geen vegan mayo.

Koffie geserveerd met boterkoek. Door wisselende bediening weten ze niet allemaal dat je veganistisch eet.

Een feest voor iedereen om hier te eten! Voor, hoofd en nagerecht compleet veganistisch. De bediening staat overdag in de keuken en weet met passie alles over de gerechten te vertellen. Wij hadden een proeverij voor maar 18,50 met 4 verschillende (vegan) stoof gerechten. Echt super lekker! Mocht je van heel pittig eten houden hebben ze eigen gemaakte sambal apart. Een aanrader, wij komen zeker weer terug!

Peanut stew was fine - Edit
The peanut stew tasted fine (they could use more spices), especially the atjar was great. The portion of the stew however was a little small compared to the couscous portion.
