CLOSED: Stone Love Ital Shop

Thanks to Laura Grainger and Happy Cow that I found this great place. This is located 400 meters from ferry port. I visited Stone Love Ital Shop in three different days in September, 2015. Stone Love Ital Shop is not really traditional restaurang, as there are just few chairs outside. You can eat there or take food with you. You can watch when Ras Akoma and her wife cook a food. They cook strictly vegan food. Menu daily consist of but not limited to these choices: Veggieburger, veggiesandwiches, veggieakra and homemade juices. Akra was made with peas and local seasoning and fried with in palm or coconut oil.
Every friday they has soup day. I asked Ras Akoma to write about soup I ate: "Soup made with broccoli greens blended with coconut milk giving it a rich creamy texture and green bananas, okra, green pawpaw, pumpkin, spinach and seasoned with all local herbs and spices like sweet pepper, celery, parsley, onions, garlic, rosemary and bay leaf."

I heard rumours a second vegan place existed in Roseau. I must have gone past this place several times before i found a rasta woman in the market who gave me explicit directions, and even then I had to ask them if they did veggie food before I was sure I'd found it.
Really worth the detective work though because they were super friendly and the food and drinks were great too.
They make the best veggie accras EVER!!!
If you are more than three people, stone love can't accommodate you all in a sit-down style.
I hope I get to go again someday.
