Absolutely delicious food on the Friday at VCO25 - one of the best burgers I've had in a long time and definitely the best at the festival, loved the homemade cherry coke too!! Think we will have to make a special trip over the Thames to sample some more of their wares :D

If you like vegan BBQ this is the place to, it's a small vegan restaurant, with very nice vegan bbq options. We tried the chicken wrap, as well as steak fries. The steak fries was very meaty, but the chicken wrap was delicious, with a lot of the most amazing mac and cheese I've ever had inside. Their homemade soft drinks were delicious, we try cherry coke and cream soda. The only downside to this place is that it is actually quite expensive for what you get. I left feeling a bit hungry after paying 15 pounds for one main.

Read moreI ordered the BBQ platter - The Mac and cheese was the best I’ve had since being vegan (4.5 years) and my partner said he thought it tasted proper cheesy too!! The corn ribs were perfect, and so was everything else! It looks like a huge plate of food but it actually wasn’t too much and I’m only small !
My partner had the steak frites and he loved the texture and flavour of the steak and I also thought it was amazing. The staff were super friendly and welcoming as well. We went back the following day to get some take away bits because it was so good and we aren’t local! Cannot recommend this place enough.

This is a small restaurant which is relaxed and vibey. Visited recently for husband’s birthday but have been before. Menu changes every few months and has a American BBQ theme. Food is very tasty and portions are generous. The owner is super friendly. Great to support a local independent. Highly recommend!

Read moreI had the Xmas roast which was stunning, and I tried the footlong hot dog which was soooo good, and the burger which was really tasty! We also had one of each of the three starters and they were really impressive!
It's quite a drive from where we live but hope to go back soon.

Magnificent dessert!! - Edit
Normally I wouldn't start a review raving about a dessert, but this dessert deserves to be up there at the top! We had the Half n Half, half banana pudding and half brownie, and I can honestly say this dessert was mind blowing. I don't know what magic is going on in the kitchen but I couldn't believe my taste buds!! I'd travel a long way just to go back for a plate of that deliciousness. We washed it down with a glorious pastry dessert stout called Lo Tide which is described on the menu as a 'chocolate bar in a can', and ain't that the truth! If that's not your thing then there's an impressive choice of dessert beers and stouts from around the world that can be found listed on the dessert menu including some pretty rare ones. The Lo Tide stout was low alcohol but probably not low calorie, but hey you can't have everything!

Very friendly restaurant with a cool vibe, cool music, and cool drinks! We'd definitely go back, and worth it's the trip if you're not local. If going in public transport it was very easy to get to from Southend Victoria train station.

Read moreI loved our starters, oyster mushroom "wings" and cauliflower "wings" we followed this with the bbq tempeh with sides of slaw, mac n cheese and incredible corn fritters.
My partner opted for seitan briskett with sides of slaw, fries (with x3 different mayos) and beans. I also had a lovely cocktail and was half price as it was happy hour. Frances our dog was given a clean fresh water bowl.
I really loved this place, I prefered the brisket to the tempeh but everything was really good honestly. Really fun place.

To eat I had the KFC and Brownie which were absolutely delicious and my fiancé had the crunch wrap and a bite of my brownie. He said the crunch wrap was very filling and great. Love the new menu.
Would 100% recommend this restaurant and will be coming back on another occasion.

Read moreIt’s in a shop unit in Southend with a big window looking into the street which is really lovely, and is very quirky with great music on in there. Had a very lively atmosphere, incredibly warm and welcoming staff and food was amazing!!!
We went for the 3 course Christmas menu of truffle Mac n cheese, vegan roast dinner and tiramisu. First two courses were incredible and tiramisu also really nice but I might try one of the other options next time. Cocktails also fabulous! We had the vegan pinacolada and adored them!! Food was fresh, full of flavour and I honestly can’t wait to go back!
